Far beyond the sandy shores, where the waves stretched into forever, there was an ocean that sang. Not with words, but with the hush of tides, the shimmer of moonlight, and the quiet hum of seashells resting on the seafloor.
On a small island in the middle of this ocean lived a little turtle named Maru. Every evening, when the sky turned lavender and the first stars awoke, Maru would walk slowly to the edge of the water. She loved to listen. The ocean’s song was soft—like a lullaby only she could hear.
One night, as Maru settled into the sand, she noticed the waves glowing faintly, as though they had swallowed pieces of starlight. Curious but unafraid, she followed the shimmer into the shallow water.
The sea was warm and gentle. Fish swam slowly, their scales glimmering like tiny lanterns. Seaweed swayed as if dancing to the ocean’s secret song. Deeper and deeper she went, until she found the source of the glow—a great seashell, as tall as herself, resting on the seafloor.
The shell pulsed softly, like a heartbeat. When Maru placed her flipper on it, she heard the ocean’s song more clearly than ever. It wasn’t just water and waves. It was laughter of dolphins far away, the dreams of sleeping whales, and the sighs of the tide rolling onto countless shores.
The seashell whispered, “Take my song with you, little one. Carry it wherever you go.”
Maru nodded and carefully tucked a tiny piece of the glowing light into her shell. When she returned to the island, the glow followed her, warm and gentle. That night, when she curled into her sandy bed, the ocean’s lullaby played softly all around her.
And from then on, whenever she felt lonely or restless, she only had to close her eyes, and the song of the ocean would rise within her—calm, endless, and kind.
The waves whispered goodnight. The stars twinkled above. And Maru, the little turtle, drifted into the most peaceful dreams.
