I remember the day like yesterday.I and my family were so very happy to move into a new beachfront villa house. Papa helped us get all our house belongings from the truck.My sister and I were so excited so we decided to take a house tour to check the mesmerizing castle we finally were going to live in.I did not know why from a far I felt like my happiness was mixed with a little bit of sadness not because I left friends that I was used to but because of something I did not really understand.I threw a cold shoulder on the feeling and let the big day control me.Little did I know that something was cooking up underneath the earth.

"Ankara! Ankara!"is the last words I had consecutively from my dear loving mum and the rest of my family.I don't know for how long I was unconscious but I woke up in the midst of a strange sand bed.It entirely looked like I was laying on a grave.I was very scared and started running but the world seemed like it was covering everything up.The sun was very strange as it was shining ans so hot on the ground but what left my mouth wide agape was the mermaids living on the hot land and minding their business like nothing was amiss.

Everybody single mermaid that passed looked at me in surprise and bowed on the ground like they were worshiping me.Every time I tried to take a step there was an earthquake like the earth wanted to swallow itself up.I remembered deep in my mind that I had a family but I didn't clearly know where and how.I started crying and a river from nowhere just came about flowing with a boat that stopped right exactly where I was standing.Everything seemed so weird and as I hesitated a little mermaid with a crown flew in the air telling me "Dear King,don't be afraid because you are safe and the nation is very happy to see you back in your cradle"

"cradle?''I asked myself as I took a step to get on the boat.Normally the earthquake was there but the little crowned mermaid assured me that it was my power trying to stabilize in my body.

My brain was so filled up with so many thoughts that I decided to shout my loudest.All the birds in the trees escaped and flew away,the little mermaid disappeared and I was left on the boat alone.The river increased its speed and took me straight to a cave that was filled with darkness and to my surprise,the boat stopped and alighted me itself letting my feet stand on a jelly ground that seemed that I was going to fall inside another hidden cave in the under ground world.Mysterious angelic voices started singing songs of praise welcoming me but my mind wondered why they were singing in the darkness.All this time everything still was a mystery in this new world.

I decided to seat down and calm my mind at least to understand what I was doing here and where I was really coming from.Diamond lights were turned on and in every light was the little crowned mermaids bowing and in one corner of the cave were beautiful little crowned mermaids.I guess this is where the angelic voices came from.I started thinking to myself that I now understood what was going on but little did I know that we barely had even scratched the surface.

Royal robes,shining shoes made from melted diamonds,a golden belt and embroidery were all brought to me and everybody shouted "welcome back home king"floated in the air some magic trick took me on my throne where everything was golden and finally the part where everybody was waiting for arrived where I was crowned as the king of Afranah land.I decided to let go of all my confusion and gave confidence some way in.

"The natives of Afranah land,it has occurred to me that I was away for sometime,but just like a true leader,I was away for some improvements and success of our land.I am now back to protect this land from all calamities that have befall on us because there was no leader with a true spirit while I was away.Therefore from now,I start up a new leadership full of great success and true definition of a golden leadership."That was the speech that I actually made after the crowning.

I immediately went south of the land to bring peace unto the ocean that was raging with much darkness.I calmed it and brought life to all the living organisms in the ocean.The great mermaid that always brought peace and control unto its fellow mermaids arose from the ocean and cried in happiness."Master!For five years now,I the great crowned mermaid has never been able to bring peace in the ocean.All the other mermaids died during the wave era except from the little crowned mermaids.The land had no peace and everybody found a way to get off the boat of death.I am happy that today you have brought back calmness and peace among our people."

The mermaid went back in the water releasing pearls on me.I scattered the pearls in the sky to bring light in the whole land.

I was happy and I was going back to sit on my throne when a beast rose with me and the golden seat I was resting upon.It caused riot and made everybody on the land fear.It scattered its body thorns and threw it to the natives of the land.The beast took away my golden chair and crashed it.The throne castle I was living in was destroyed into a whole lot of dust.I was taken,put inside a box full of light and taken away.They opened up the box and I was in a new land.A very beautiful land full of nature and love from other members of the land.

I was taken into a chamber full of old men who were mixing some kinds of liquids just like they do in the laboratories.They told me that I was blinded by lies and power.They said that I did not belong to the land where they crowned me as the king."You belong to us!"I wondered why every land was competing to have me.Remembering how the beast did to the people of Afranah land I gave in.I guess I was very scared.I didn't even remember how powerful I was again.

I began asking questions and the reasons as to why I wasn't living in peace on one land.I said to myself ''let me listen to the old men because they know better about the world"

I was willing to learn everything but the mermaids from Afranah land came in prepared for a war with the people of Sambara land.I knew that they were going to fight a losing battle because the beast from Sambara were not a joke.I was now giving up of all the scenes that were happening around me.Why is it that before I understand anything happening around,another one unfolds?

The war escalated.Blood was shed and souls cried out lives from the bodies and left dead laying all over the land.It was a fight for their powerful king.It was so sad to see my people die without a single grain of help from me,their so called king.Maybe it was all a lie after all that I never was their king.The beast roar in agony after its child was attacked by the great crowned mermaid that was there to help me out of the Sambara land back to my cradle land safely.I was scared of the worst as I knew that the beast wont let the great mermaid to leave with such a great pain caused in the heart of the beast.

The beast had the power for anything that's why it protected the whole land alone without any help.That means that it would take one years and years to make sure all the beast were not alive.It rolled some tornadoes from the ocean and put it around the neck of the great mermaid.Made some ice arrows and squeezed in into the chest of the mermaids on my watch.The mermaid looked at me in agony as if trying to beg me for help.I wasn't really going to do anything.How could I stand against such a powerful beast alone?

I wondered why they didn't kill me too.I wondered why I came in the Afranah land and caused such a chaotic scene.I knew that the only immortal beings left on my cradle land were the little crowned mermaids because they had the power to disappear and they were always left in the land to guard it and make sure that the history and legacy of the land still stood out.

Little did I know that all this time I was gonna be a meal for the greatest ruler of Sambara land."They manipulated me into thinking that they loved me,that I was a member and a native of their land,that my power was not good enough for the people of my cradle land.They killed my people,they killed the great mermaid,they caused an imbalance on my land."

I was really mad about all this but I took so much time in thinking that I was taken by the soldiers of Sambara land and tied up in a cross like structure in front of so many people who were celebrating to see me turn into a tasty feast for their king.I was injected a couple of some few doses and all I remember was the soldiers trying their best to wake me up.It was a taboo for their king to have a meal of an unconscious body so my weak body just saved me up.I knew all their rules in just a week.

The little mermaids came for my rescue and started attacking the king of the land and this made all the soldiers attention to divide hence I was able to run away."A whole king running away?"I asked myself as shamelessly continued running away.I completely forgot how the beasts were extremely strong and as long I was in their land ,I couldn't escape at all.

I was very ashamed and decided to stand and fight for my people.I realized that I could create anything that comes on my mind.I made two swords and cut of the heads of the beasts.I made several frozen arrows and killed the other beasts too.I battled up with them and made sure no little crowned mermaid was dying.

I unleashed all my power and decided to kill all the soldiers of the Sambara land but I spared the people and the king himself.I couldn't just kill the leader of their land because I was also a leader and i knew what it meant to leave his land in peace.Together with the little mermaids we went back to our land.It was so messed up that I started crying.The oceans of my land took off with rage and went straight to Sambara land and wiped out everything.It then carried their bare land and brought it in my land.I was happy as it made me conquer and take their land too.I still was very sad because there were not any people to rule in my land,only me and the little mermaids.

Under the great dark cave the diamonds that shed light everywhere in the once a castle throne for me.As I tried to figured out my next move,a light shone and called my name "Ankara!,follow this light and get all your questions answered.I decided to follow the light and I took a rolacosta in the spirit world .I didn't know where I was going but I trusted every voice in my land.Fair enough,I was taken to my ancestors whom were the ancient rulers of Afranah land.They were twenty of them but one was standing on the middle meaning that he was the most powerful of all the rulers who ever ruled Afranah land.Guza who was the most powerful ruler stretched his hand as if calling me but before I could stretch my hand to touch his,all the other rulers stretched theirs and they all connected their powers creating a great ball of blue magic.In this ball I saw where I was born and how I found myself on the other land.

Guza's voice,strong and fierce said to me "dear Ankara,you were born in our land,Afranah.But since the greatest mermaid ruler of that time looked into your newly born eyes and knew that you were going to rule one day,he sent an order to some little crowned mermaids that collaborated with his evil.They took you from your mother since they had already killed your father before they came for you.Your mother was still weak since she had given birth to you just a week before.They went and threw you in a waterfall that connected our world to another one and that is the world you lived in all your years until the pearl of life of the most truthful king to be shone.The pearl confirmed to us that you were still alive and it was the right time for you to rule our land.So I sent the little crowned mermaids to bring you back.The evil mermaids that wanted to kill you are in custody up to date and they are very old and weak because I took all the power from them so that they may never hurt anybody else.I felt like I was fair to let them live just like other normal natives of the land than killing them."

The ancestral light shone even more and Guza said "hail,great king of Aranah land!our land has waited for you for so many years.Some natives gave up because they knew that they would never get the truthful ruler back in our land.Today is a day to celebrate with all the natives.I will summon everyone of the land here,crown you in glory,help settle your land together with my helpers,bring Aranah land to calmness then let you rule forever and if maybe you may need me any other time to help our land,I will always be there to respond.Just call my name three times and beat the drums near the waterfall thrice facing the mountain and I will come to your help."

I looked down and saw my people gathering in the square hall where they were waiting for my inauguration as the most truthful king of Afranah land."Afraha for king,Afraha for king!"the people shouted for my name.They were very excited to bring Afranah land back to normal just like it was in the ancient times.I was crowned the king and appointed all my soldiers that would help in my ruling and called for all the children for my blessings.A feast was prepared and we all celebrated together as there was no threat left to bring or tears us down.

Ater the feast I let the nation be ruled with the greatest mermaid and the soldiers for sometime and went back to the world where I grew up from.Everything was very clear to me and I understood every scene around me.I went and got my parents and my little sister crying for me.They thought that I was dead.I brought shells for my little sibling and many fish for my dad who was a fish monger and embroideries for my mum.They were so happy but sad at the same time since I was going back to my land.I explained to them everything that had happened.

"Mum,I really am sorry but I belong to the sea,I am a mermaid!"I expected my family to be surprised but instead they hugged me and my dad shedding tears he said "We always prayed that you one day come to realize who you truly are.Me and your mum found you in the greatest river while I was fishing.Your face was blue and you had some little fins just like the fish.At first we were very afraid to take you home because we feared that your parents may come for you but seeing the rivers rage,we decided to take you home.At first,you seemed to never change or even adopt to our lifestyle but we vowed to take care of you in all cost.We are very proud of you,Aranah!"

I cried after hearing those words,I never thought they knew who I was because it also took me by surprise when I also found out.My parents told me the reason as to why they were vacating is because the neighbourhood from where they used to live called them names saying that they are living with a monster in the house and that one day I will feed upon them just like the sea monster.But father told me that evil can never win over good.That is why they always took care of me wishing that one day I would know myself.

"hey brother!your friends are asking for you in school and even the teachers keep on asking too.I always tell them you went to heaven because its true.I always knew you were looking after me everyday.right?"Those were my little sisters' words which made me shed tears because I understood how lonely she was after my departure.I told her that I was going to always visit her and will be bringing more gifts only if she promised to study hard and become a doctor.She was happy and promised to do as I said.

It was time to bade my family goodbye.We embraced each other in tears and I went back to the land where responsibilities of leadership were waiting for me.I understood that I was no longer a small kid anymore that I was a ruler who everybody depended on.The other family that took me from the river also taught me a lot of lessons.Good will always win over the evil just like the light will always win over darkness.

Still in the celebration mood,I took upon me to provide lamps to all my people.I asked them to light up the lamps and raise them up as a symbol that light will always win over darkness and that Afranah land will always be bright,happy and peaceful.I urged all the people to love each other and always care for others like their own.We celebrated and I went back to my thrown peacefully to rule Aranah land forever."Hail! Afranah land!
