It has been years since I did anything meaningful all because children this day no longer want to fight dragons or save imaginary villages. Once the all powerful god who made children's dreams come true is now a homeless man who lives in the woods.
It's no surprise that many of the gods and goddesses have left their original homes to go live amongst humans, I would too but that's just exhausting. My own brother doesn't even visit me anymore. His out there busy making deals with humans, what about me? How does he think I'll survive all by myself here.
"You should stop being so dramatic, you are not going to die, not while I'm still alive." Came a voice behind the God of imagination. "If you are so bored and all why don't you come with me, maybe you'll finally find something to do."
The imagination god turned around and to his surprise it was his older brother.
"Brother!" He sprung up from the forest floor an straight into his brothers open arms, "I thought you have abandoned me." He cried.
"Get of me you moron, you are heavier than you look." His brother lightly pushed him away "And stop whining I have only been gone for five years, one of us has to try and make us a living."
The imagination god pouted at his brothers words and slapped his hand lightly but the his face and tone turned serious "Is it true that the God of Forgotten Memories has been murdered?"
His brothers face darkened as sadness and anger crossed his eyes. "Yes it's true, it's actually the reason why I came here today. After Bid was murdered two more lesser gods were found dead." Said the God of Success with pain in his voice.
The imagination god was stunned, it has been 40 centuries since a god was killed and hearing that three have been murdered in a matter of three months shocked him to his core.
"How?" He whispered "How were they killed and is there anyone who knows who did it?"
The god of success grimly shook his head " No, but all of us have realized that whom or whatever is doing this won't stop at just three, which is why I want you to come back to the city with me."
"No." came Imogen's short answer.
"Please, I wouldn't ask you of this if it was not to protect you. You have to understand being here alone puts you in danger, as it seems the killer is picking off those who are isolated. Bid was also alone in his island and nobody noticed he has died till humans started being able to remember everything. I don't was to lose you, please come with me so you can be protected." By the time Succes finished his runt he was holding Imogen by his shoulders.
"Please do me this one favor, let me protect you. I have made enough deals with humans that i have the power to protect the both of us."
With his eyes wide open Imogen couldn't help but have a small smile on his lips. "Fine I'll come with you, you don't have to be so dramatic." He said as he looked at his brother with a soft gaze that also held mischief.
"Oh thank father! I thought you will be difficult and I'll have to drag you out of this forest." His brother sighed loudly and finally let go of him.
Imogen faked a look of hurt "Why do you like acting like I'm some sort of brat?" He giggled
"That's because you are, now get your stuff there are a lot of things I need to brief you on." The oldest of the siblings said as he felt a weight lift off his shoulders.
And this was the start of the journey of the two brothers, the God of Success and the God of Imagination, as they try to avoid being killed whiles also chasing the killer.
