Once upon a time, in the small town of Lazyville , there lived a man named Bob. Bob was the laziest man in the world. His laziness was legendary. If there was an award for being lazy, Bob wouldn’t go to collect it—too much effort!
One day, Bob’s neighbor, Mr. Jenkins, came knocking. "Bob! I need your help! My cat is stuck in a tree!"
Bob, lying on his couch, sighed. “Why don’t you call the fire department?”
“I did,” said Mr. Jenkins, “but they’re busy helping a cat stuck on a roof.”
Bob slowly sat up, stretched, and said, “Okay, fine, but I’m only doing this because my TV’s on commercial.”
So, Bob shuffled to the tree with Mr. Jenkins. The cat, Mr. Whiskers, was sitting on a high branch, looking smug. Bob stared up at the cat, hands on his hips. “Why’d you climb up there anyway?”
The cat meowed, as if to say, "Because I’m a cat, duh."
Bob scratched his head. “Alright, let me figure this out.” He looked around and saw a long stick on the ground. He picked it up and waved it at the cat. “Come on down, Mr. Whiskers, it’s not that far.”
Mr. Whiskers looked down, unimpressed, and stayed put.
Bob sighed again, scratched his belly, and said, “Okay, plan B.” He laid down on the grass, pulled out his phone, and started Googling “How to get a cat down from a tree without moving.”
After five minutes, Bob got an idea. He took a selfie, made a funny face, and held it up for the cat to see. The cat glanced at the picture, tilted its head, and jumped down from the tree—right onto Bob's stomach.
"Ugh!" Bob groaned. “Well, I guess it worked.” He handed Mr. Whiskers to Mr. Jenkins, who was overjoyed. "Thanks, Bob! You’re a hero!"
Bob yawned. “Yeah, yeah. Just remember, next time, I charge for cat selfies.” And with that, Bob returned to his couch, where his TV show had just come back on.
And from that day on, Bob was known as the laziest hero in Lazyville —the man who could save the day without even standing up straight!
