I sit at my desk, going through emails. My boss is late this morning, he is always on time. My brown hair is loose in my back. I am wearing my black tight fitted dress that is just above my knees and I am wearing my black high heels. My desk is outside of his office. It is 10am and still no sign of him. I decide to go over everything in the emails, meetings that are scheduled. My breath stops as he walks fast as if he is on a mission, case in one hand, black coat hanging over his other arm, he is wearing his favorite Armani black suit pants, white shirt and black pull over jersey, his reading glasses on, black hair neatly combed to the side and back. Magnetic blue eyes straight ahead of him, no expression at all, he walks straight to his office. He never greets, cold-hearted man that he is.
I get up from my seat and head over to his office to give him a breakdown on the emails and meetings. I knock on the door waiting for his answer.
"Come in" I open the door and I close the door behind me, he is typing on his laptop. I take a seat in the chair by his desk.
"You have a meeting schedule for 1pm with Gold Marines and a 3pm meeting with Anna Cross. Those are the most important schedules for today. Emails are about the enquiries for renovations in homes mostly sir" I look up from my page that I read out to him, and I find him already looking at me, glasses still on, his one elbow on his desk, his index finger and thumb grazing his chin, and he has a little frown as if in thought.
"Miss Mills, what are you doing at such a place?"
"Um, its a side line job I have since college, it helps me pay off bills and..."
"Don't I pay you over enough?"
"I have a lot of college debt to pay sir" I feel nervous at these questions being thrown at me, and I know it will be a problem, obviously.
He adjusts his position in his seat, " You will not be allowed to step foot in that place again Miss Mills, do I make myself clear?" he asks raising an eyebrow.
"But I need to pay off my debts MR Holt"
"Well consider yourself having a raise in salary...now if there isn't anything else I need to know for my day ahead, that will be all Miss Mills" he says and he carries on with his typing.
I get up from my seat and I get back to my desk, that didn't go so bad though. I sit back at my desk and I type out quotes to the enquiries from potential clients via email. My day was pretty much filled with emails to respond to and calls to take. MR Holt didn't leave his office yet. I still cannot believe that my salary will be going up, and maybe I can quit working at Angels the club, I knew that working at Angels and by Holt Architectures that it wouldn't be allowed in any case. Every time MR Holt takes my breath away but his attitude needs some real fixing. I wouldn't want to be with a man like that in any case. I bite on my pen as I think ahead.
