A disco ball sat in the middle of a white cloud like an egg in a bird's nest. It had those squares all along its surface, with mirror faces that refracted light in a multiplicity of ways. Party glitter in a vague sheathe overlaid the object and the surrounding cloud stuff. And it clung to it, regardless of the wind and it channels into the far flung realm of the absolute blue of the sky. The cloud was among compatriots, moving eastwards across the sky. At their own pace, of course. Winds gave motion to the landscape of the cloud, manipulating it in such a way that it was like stop motion animation. Filling hills and sculpting valleys. Forging a dream cycle in its wake. In the heart of the disco ball something began to stir. It turned around one hundred and eighty degrees, and fell on its side, propped up by a powdery mound of cloud. Square faces reflected the blue sky imbued with grandiose light. A mere moment later, it was gone, replaced with mirror. Cracked mirror. At this elevation few wings would ever reach. And today none would witness. A fragment of silver shell fell to the ground. Layers of glitter sprayed the cloud like a colored pencil's pointillism. Breathe came from within. A baby bird perhaps, if only they were so lucky as to be born in such a way. A glow lit up the sky as the herald of midday. And more cracks bursted the metallic seams of that sphere. A power forced it open, breaking it into open sections. Her blue face was drawn into the world. Fully formed as if years were layered onto her. A tall woman. Long and lithe. Satyr horns adorning her feral head. Elvish features hidden in beauty. The rest of her blue skin showered in birthing glitter. Hessifilis raised up and felt the air, as a cool breeze washed away the particles in one scintillating wave. And the air was lively. That young whippersnapper. It clothed her in brisk realization. The woman's vessel was strong with youthful muscle. Everything, especially the legs. Hess made her way across the breadth of the cloud, examining the shapeshifter. She felt her anxious skin, sweeping her hand across her arm, and it was velvety like petals. It was now thirty minutes past midday. The earth awaited below, overlaid with grass so green it was almost in mint condition. A caravan of clouds like fresh fleece was driven along. Hess felt a beating in her chest. It was a full day surrounded by things that swirled. Hess's heart felt like it could evaporate. In a monumental world, she felt most small. But her experience had only just begun. Hessifilis scouted the clouds until she had stepped to the margin of every ivory island. As the minutes ticked on, a radical change was at hand. The afternoon sun poked its head through the horizon, boring through the clouds with gold. Vines of light, thick and stocky. She reached up to grab one, and felt its thickness in the palm of her hand. A good grip was obligatory. Hess looked yards ahead, to the limits of her island. A daring thought ? and she set off, running down the length of it. Like Tarzan but gorgeous and elvish and blue. A blow of wind clipped her chest. Half her face tiled and glimpsing down, she could see earth and the drop below. It's hateful green. And she gripped tighter. At the other side her feet alighted. It was a happy feeling to be on solid ground. Hess looked down again at her feet, and flexed them. It was sweet to have whipped cream stuck between one's toes. Delight welled up within her frame. For another hour the girl treated the cloud canopy like a jungle canopy, swinging from one place to another, grabbing every vine she could lay her hands on. Eventually it dawned on her to swing on a lightbeam to the gusty ground. It was like a zip line at a camping trip. Hessifilis landed on the real landscape of Limiforasonla, a planet far from Sol. A gust of wind menaced the grass beneath her feet. It was all Anima. A wild Anima unleashed upon the world. Streaks of iridescent butterfly blue fair fanned out behind her back, Like a freshly dipped paint brush in the air. The girl looked about, and followed the curvature of the hills. At a certain area the features became less pronounced, and the land became flatter. A curious lawnmower without a pilot drove past, tossing a wave of shredded grass on its right side. Hess gasped in amazement as that stream rose high, and when it fell a green house of the very same substance formed. As if nothing had happened, the device moved on, towards the hills, leaving behind a green door with a green doorknob, Its uncouth engine roaring. Lady Tarzan was unabashed. Rules were meant to be broken, after all. She fiddled with the door and found herself in a rather put together room. Along the wall there was a sign like a framed painting that said "Keep Off The Grass" ? but it was a little too late for that. Hess walked about the room with those long legs, like a ballerina. Inspecting the tables and chairs, the lamp upon the table. Sticking her head around and crawling about. Beneath the table. It was all well manicured. Hess got up and immediately plopped down on the couch. It wasn't as comfy as a cloud but for the moment it would have to dew. Hess toyed with her satyr horn as she thought. "Aha! why don't I build a house up there!" she exclaimed. Inspired, her eyes closed and the dark embraced her with sweet medicinal clarity. Her arm soft, its oils daubed with the silent sweep of a hand. A passing breeze came through. Forceful in a stricter sense. It's pull broke away the fleeting abode, its walls subtracted. Around the blinded girl a cloud of dust cycled. Like an emerald dream. It shimmied to the sky. Hess awoke to find herself sitting on the couch and the landscape before her. The woman spared no time, and traced the billowing hills to a wood where she could attain good timber. She visualized an ax, and kissed a heavy stone. It's bulk crumbled away, granting her the implement. Now the woodland stretched before her. Tawny column's ready to be felled. Beginning in earnest. A quarter of the day was spent that way. In sweat. The power hungry ax slammed against the husk. And it drew more force from her body, new as it was. A welcome sound of a heavy beast plummeting to the earth. Hess dodged behind some trees for comfort. Every time keeping her distance. As the crackle subsided, the cutter relinquished her weapon, standing it upright along a stone embankment, and made her way to the quarry. With superior strength, she lifted a trunk and balanced it on her left shoulder. A fish head popped out the hollow trunk and ogled at the lumberjack with big beady eyes. In a minute it plopped out onto the ground. Hess continued to carry the trunk up a hill when she stopped to catch her breath and look in the hollow. The inner surface was coated with fish scales of rainbow color. For a time she traced her hands across the surface, turning the glinting scales backwards and forwards. After an hour she had brought all the lumber up to the cloud for her cabin. The sun hung midway in the sky. Deep in the heart of the burning inferno, the Solar Gaia saw her, and blushed and fainted. The tall elvish maiden could not resist. She craned her neck yet again. The sky was a typical color. As if the moon liked to roll around in a bowl of blueberries and crush them into a puddle for sport. Hess lay on the cloud, exhausted, panting, dripping with sweat. her nudity clothed in tiny dots of glitter. Absurdly feminine.
