Once upon a time, in a small village, there lived a kind and gentle girl named Cinderella. She lived with her wicked stepmother and two selfish stepsisters, who treated her as a servant. While they dressed in fine clothes and attended grand balls, Cinderella was left to scrub floors and tend to the fireplace.
One day, the king announced a grand ball at the palace, where the prince would choose his bride. Excitement filled the air, and Cinderella's stepsisters spent hours preparing, mocking her all the while. But Cinderella, ever hopeful, dreamed of going to the ball.
As the night of the ball arrived, Cinderella's heart sank. Her stepsisters left in their finest gowns, leaving her behind. Just when she thought all hope was lost, a soft, shimmering light appeared in the garden. It was her Fairy Godmother!
With a wave of her wand, the Fairy Godmother transformed a pumpkin into a grand carriage, mice into horses, and Cinderella’s tattered dress into a gown more beautiful than she ever imagined. A pair of glass slippers completed the magic. "But remember," the Fairy Godmother warned, "the spell will break at midnight."
At the palace, Cinderella captivated everyone, including the prince, who danced with her the entire evening. As the clock neared midnight, she fled in haste, leaving behind one glass slipper.
The next day, the prince searched the kingdom for the mysterious girl. When he arrived at Cinderella’s house, her stepsisters tried to squeeze their feet into the slipper, but it fit none of them. Then, Cinderella asked to try it on. The moment the slipper slid perfectly onto her foot, everyone gasped.
The prince knew he had found his bride. They were married in a grand ceremony, and Cinderella’s days of hardship were over. She and the prince lived happily ever after, in kindness and joy.
