One morning, Timmy was getting dressed for school when he realized something catastrophic - one of his socks was missing. He searched under the bed, behind the dresser, and even inside the laundry basket, but it was nowhere to be found.
After a few minutes of frantic searching, he heard a small voice coming from the laundry room.
"Timmy, I took it!" said the sock.
Timmy stood frozen. Was he losing his mind? No, the sock was talking!
It continued, "I'm tired of being stuffed in dark drawers and left in the corner of the closet. I wanted a new life! I'm off to start a sock farm in the backyard. I'll be free!"
Timmy sighed, grabbed the other sock, and muttered, "I'll never trust laundry day again."
And from that day forward, no sock in the house was ever left in pairs for too long.
