The Case of the Missing Parrot

Tommy, Sara, and their dog, Max, called themselves the "Mystery Solvers Club." They loved solving little puzzles around their neighborhood. But nothing could have prepared them for their biggest case yet - the disappearance of Mr. Patel's parrot, Coco!

Chapter 1: The Disappearance

One morning, Mr. Patel was in a panic. His bright green parrot, Coco, had vanished from its cage overnight. "I locked the cage before bed," he said. "But when I woke up, the door was wide open!"

Tommy scratched his head. "Maybe someone stole Coco?"

"Or Coco escaped," Sara added.

Max barked as if he had an idea, too.

Chapter 2: The Clues

The three detectives searched Mr. Patel's backyard. Under the cage, they found a single green feather, but no footprints or broken locks.

Then, Tommy spotted something unusual. "Look! There's a trail of sunflower seeds leading to the fence!"

Sara followed the trail and gasped. "It stops here, near Mrs. Dawson's big oak tree!"

Chapter 3: The Suspects

The kids made a list of suspects:

1. Mr. Patel's cat, Whiskers - Did Whiskers scare Coco away?

2. Mrs. Dawson's son, Ben - He loved birds. Maybe he took Coco?

3. The Wind - Could a strong breeze have opened the cage door?

Chapter 4: A Feathery Surprise

Just as they were about to interview Ben, Max started barking at Mrs. Dawson's tree. Tommy and Sara looked up - and there was Coco, sitting on a high branch!

"How do we get him down?" Sara wondered.

"I have an idea," Tommy said, grabbing some sunflower seeds from his pocket. He held them out and whistled softly.

Coco flapped his wings and swooped down, landing right on Tommy's shoulder!

Chapter 5: The Mystery Solved

Mr. Patel was overjoyed. "But how did Coco escape?"

Sara pointed at Whiskers, who was lazily lying in the sun. "I think Whiskers jumped at Coco's cage, and in the panic, Coco managed to open the door and fly away."

Tommy nodded. "The sunflower seeds led us right to him!"

Mr. Patel thanked the Mystery Solvers Club with a big tray of cookies. "You kids are real detectives!"

As they walked home, Max wagged his tail happily. Another mystery solved - until the next one!

The End.
