Since childhood, Mira had been the victim of betrayal, always surrounded by people who claimed to be her friends but ended up hurting her in ways she couldn’t comprehend. Her first memory was of a group of girls at school, laughing behind her back, spreading rumors, and making her feel like an outsider. She didn’t understand why, but she tried to keep her head down, focusing on her studies, hoping to escape the torment with success.
But the pain didn’t end. As she grew older, the betrayals became more sophisticated. Classmates she trusted shared her secrets, and teachers who were supposed to protect her turned a blind eye. Mira couldn’t understand why everything always seemed to go wrong for her while others thrived. She was never the popular one, the chosen one. And slowly, she began to question herself. Was there something wrong with her? Or was it just her destiny to be treated this way?
The worst was yet to come.
In her final year of school, things took a darker turn. Mira started feeling sick — dizzy, weak, and often confused. At first, she thought it was just stress from the pressure of exams and the weight of her failed friendships. But the episodes grew worse, and her body began to betray her, too. The seizures started unexpectedly — her limbs shaking uncontrollably, her vision blurring, and her mind fading into darkness.
After an especially terrifying episode, Mira was taken to the hospital, where doctors diagnosed her with epilepsy. But deep down, she felt something was wrong, something beyond the medical explanation. Her mind wandered back to an event that she had buried for so long — a conversation she overheard one night when a friend she had trusted deeply, someone she had considered family, spoke of curses, dark forces, and revenge. That night, Mira recalled, her friend had whispered in the shadows, “She deserves to suffer for what she did to me.”
Mira had no idea that the envy, the jealousy, and the bitterness of those around her would manifest into something so evil. She was the target of something far darker than petty high school drama — black magic. The curse placed on her not only ruined her health but shattered her dreams. Her studies, her future — everything was taken away from her.
With every passing day, Mira’s condition worsened, and so did the feeling of being trapped in a life she no longer recognized. She had been cheated, backstabbed, and cursed by those she had trusted, and now, it seemed like her future was nothing but a distant dream. She was just a victim of the cruel games others played.
But in her heart, Mira still had a flicker of hope. Despite everything — the betrayal, the illness, the darkness that surrounded her — she vowed to not let it define her. She wasn’t going to let the curse destroy her spirit, no matter how powerful it seemed. She would fight back, even if it meant facing the darkness alone.
For the first time, Mira realized that though people could betray and hurt her, they couldn’t take away her strength, her resolve, and the possibility of healing. She would seek answers, find peace, and reclaim her life — one step at a time.
