It was a bright, sunny day in Metropolis, and Superman was flying high in the sky, making sure everything was safe and sound. But suddenly, he heard a loud “KA-BOOM! KA-BOOM!” coming from the city!
Superman zoomed down, his cape flying behind him like a red kite. “Uh-oh, here we go again,” he said to himself, flying faster than a speeding bullet.
When he landed on the ground, he saw something very strange. A giant purple monster was stomping around, squashing cars and trees. And guess what the monster was holding? A big, wobbly rubber chicken!
Superman blinked. “What’s going on here?” he asked out loud.
The giant monster looked at Superman and grinned. “I’m Zorath, the mighty monster who’s going to take over Metropolis and make it my... rubber chicken kingdom! Bow before me!” He swung the rubber chicken high in the air like it was a magical wand.
Superman put his hands on his hips. “A rubber chicken? Seriously?” he said with a laugh. “I’ve fought some pretty tough guys, but this is new!”
Zorath swung the rubber chicken toward Superman. “Feel the power of my chicken!” Zorath shouted.
Superman easily ducked out of the way. “You know, Zorath, I’ve never met anyone who wants to rule the world with a rubber chicken. But okay, I’ll play along!”
Zorath swung the chicken again, but Superman had an idea. He used his heat vision—his superpower that shoots out super-hot laser beams from his eyes—and zapped the rubber chicken. SIZZLE! The chicken melted into a puddle of goo!
Zorath’s face turned red. “Nooo! My chicken! What will I do without my chicken?!” he cried.
Superman smiled. “Maybe you should try playing with something else, like a kite or a ball. Rubber chickens are way too weird for world domination!”
Zorath stood there, completely shocked. “I’m defeated by a guy who can melt rubber with his eyes? This is embarrassing!”
Superman chuckled. “It’s okay, Zorath. Maybe next time, try something a little less... silly?”
Zorath sighed, looking around. “Fine, I’ll go home. But I’ll be back... with a new plan!”
Superman waved as the giant monster slowly walked away. “Good luck with that, Zorath!”
Then, Superman turned to the people of Metropolis who had been watching the whole thing. “Nothing to see here, folks! Just another day of saving the city!” he said with a big grin.
And with that, Superman flew back into the sky, ready for whatever crazy adventure the next day would bring—hopefully with no more rubber chickens!
