Screech! Our school bus had finally arrived at Hotel Zenith Retreat, a brand old building Tucked into the hills. The two best friends, William and James had been waiting for months for this trip together. They were very excited as soon as they entered the lobby which had a massive chandelier and velvet curtains hung from the tall windows.
Everything felt magical until the manager told us that “No one is allowed near Room 13. It is locked for a reason.” The boys looked at each other and shrugged wondering what the reason was? After a long day of sightseeing, they came back to the hotel to have their dinner. The boys decided to do something adventurous. “Let’s check out room 13 when everyone is asleep,” said William. “Yes, let’s do that at midnight while everyone is asleep,” Replied James. They waited till midnight for their action plan.
As soon as it struck 12 at midnight the two boys sneaked out of their room. They saw that room 13 was partially open. They quietly sneaked in and the room was pitched dark. As soon as they turned on the lights, “Surprise! Everyone appeared and so did the manager. It was a surprise birthday party for James.
