There was a little girl named Aisha who was living in a village of soft green hills. Her family was poor, and education was a luxury for them, but she had grand dreams. Her mother sewed clothes for the villagers to make a livelihood, and her father was a tiller of soil. Though they went through hardships, Aisha's parents had faith in the educational power and encouraged her to chase her dreams. Aisha was fascinated by stars at night from childhood. She would gaze at the stars for hours, thinking about the mysteries beyond the planet Earth. She desired to be an astronaut from her childhood. But as there was no working school in the village, most of the girls were supposed to drop out early to help with domestic chores. Aisha did not want to be ruled by her situation, so she created a way of educating herself. She would walk miles to borrow books from the library of a nearby town and read for hours. She studied mathematics under an oil lamp and heard English from the radio. She was so focused that she persuaded Mr., a former schoolteacher. Khan, to be her mentor. Mr. Aisha became an achiever student in school with the guidance of Khan. But lack of funds deprived her of an opportunity for advanced studies. She applied for a scholarship and worked very hard in an effort to remain sponsored. She eventually got a scholarship to study astrophysics at a famous university after being rejected several times. Life in the city was not smooth sailing. Aisha was like a stranger most of the time because of the intimidating change from a small village to a city. In spite of skepticism, poverty, and loneliness, she kept going. She recalled the goal she had set for herself: to touch the stars. Years of determination and hard work paid off as Aisha was selected for a space research program. Aisha motivated girls from her village to aspire big through her initiatives for leading the way in astronomy studies. Aisha remained resolute and realized her dream ambition of becoming an astronaut someday. When the time arrived for Aisha to board a spaceship, set to journey out for the first time, she was able to glimpse the village where she had originally lived out of the window. It reminded her of the place where she began and how far she had traveled. As she soared higher than Earth's atmosphere, she realized that any challenge or aspiration is too big if one is brave enough to fly above stars. The moral is that through confidence, persistence, and self-trust, one can attain even the most impossible goals.
