As she continued walking slowly down the path, the pumpkins began to glow deep shades of red, with evil eyes that seemed to stare straight thru her soul. Their mouths slowly began to open wide, revealing sharp pointed teeth. Sounds of low hums swirled around her, as if they were flowing straight from the pumpkin's mouths. Then, they started to chant in low keys of sorrow, humming all together and steadily growing louder with each sound. Blood started to slowly drip from the mouths and eyes of the pumpkins as they began to moan sorrowful wails, echoing into the night.
Fear raced thru her veins as she picked up her pace, running down the slowly darkening path. As she passed each pumpkin, their candles began to dim as they continued to moan in agony. She screamed as she felt something grab her shoulder. She stopped dead in her tracks and quickly turned around, only to find a twig that had fallen from a nearby tree. With a sigh of relief, she began to walk the path once more. The darkness continued to surround her, closing in with every step she took. The pumpkin's evil glare grew angry and the moans turned to taunts. They began screaming at her and shrieking with the most ear splitting tone. Their eyes narrowed as one final scream escaped their mouths.
Then, everything went deathly silent. The wind in the trees seemed to be sucked away like a vacuum in deep space. The lights in each pumpkin completely died and she was left standing on the darkened path in silence. The smell in the air, the glow from the moon, all snuffed out like a bad nightmare. Suddenly, the ground beneath her feet gave way and she started to fall into an unknown abyss. She screamed and screamed until her lungs gave out and she could no longer utter a sound. She kept falling deeper and deeper into the darkness. The air grew colder and colder still, as she helplessly flew to an almost certain death. All of a sudden, the ground rose to meet her as she landed hard on cold, damp earth.
Slowly rising to her feet, she could see a glow in the distance. It slowly grew brighter as she neared this most alluring orange glimmer. Her body was filled with a sense of warmth that seemed to envelope her completely. She closed her eyes and reached out towards the light. Her hand touched something cold and hard. As she opened her eyes, the orange glare from two evil eyes stared back at her. She gasped as she realized the scale of this colossal beast of a pumpkin as it raised its giant arms, stretching them towards the skies. The evil eyes continued to glare at her, beckoning her into a nightmarish, paralyzing state. It opened its horrendous mouth, revealing large jagged teeth as it began humming a low moan like no other.
As it continued this devilish tone, each smaller pumpkin began to glow, one after the other. Then, they all began howling in unison, as the giant pumpkin began to rise to its branchlike feet. It fiercely towered over her, narrowing its eyes as they turned to a deep shade of red. It then grabbed her by the arms and began pulling her slowly toward its mouth. She fought and screamed, but to no avail. With no stopping this demonic enraged pumpkin, it shoved her deep inside its mouth and began to chomp down on her tiny frame. It tore and shredded her flesh as blood and guts splattered the ground around them like a wet bloody hose. As the blood continued to spray, she let out one final scream just as the pumpkin sank its teeth deep into her skull, crushing it into a thick layer of bone dust. It finished chomping her lifeless body into a bloody pulp and swallowed the remains with a nasty belch. Then, all the pumpkins began to slowly rise from the ground, moaning an eerie chant. They perceived to rain terror down on the entire town, ripping and tearing everyone to pieces until the whole town was soaked in the blood of the innocent.
