Her skin felt soft and warm as I slowly gripped her throat with my trembling hands. I could feel my eyes getting heavier, my heart racing very fast as if my body was not willing to attack. But then, all good things must come to an end and here I was ending a life, I felt, failed miserably to serve her purpose. Dear readers, you have to believe me, it was for her own good, to ease her suffering.
She tried tossing her head in her disturbed slumber, her eyes suddenly pressed very tightly, her face twitching as if it begged for a moment of peace. Well, that's why I was there for, to pull her out of her misery because you cannot survive being a dove while surrounded by vultures.
Such a tragedy!
I almost felt like crying my soul out for her. But then what I was about to do, I would be doing her a favour!
I tried catching a breath and tightened my grip with a sudden jolt. Suddenly, she woke up with a shock, and it took her a moment to finally realise the situation. Her hands frantically tried to get hold of me and struggled to fight back.
Finally, our eyes met.
Dear readers, did you ever have had the chance to experience pure bliss? The comfortable feeling of not wanting anything, absolutely nothing because now your heart is at peace, your prayers have been answered?
Her struggled eyes could tell me that. I was, infact, liberating her from this pathetic world which had always been very indifferent to her no matter how much she did good. To tell you the truth, I could not even feel the perspiration that appeared over my body, particularly on my face. All I could remember was my heart palpitated wildly and my hands violently wrapped around the delicate neck, choking her. She jolted up her body for quite sometime in a feeble attempt to save herself because that's the primary instinct of all living beings, saving oneself, to fill the lungs with the gush of air, TO LIVE without truly living.
As she closed her eyes, her beautiful black eyes holding thousands of unfulfilled dreams, the pain her heart had carried because the world mercilessly betrayed her, I could see the light of life slowly slipping away.
She was finally gone.
I had to steal a moment. I was very exhausted but then it was time I had to birth myself again, to give life to my another new personality, for, the world was not willing to let the innocent version of me live in peace.
