I was 11 years old when I had to look after my mother after she was attacked by a severe stroke. My sister was going to work by that time ,I mean we needed the money as our source of income inorder to look after my mother. Thanks to government , after a year my mother became better but disabled and she applied South African Social grant for bieng disable atleast we had something to rely on.
After two years I was taken to boarding school it was a critical situation for me but I didn't have a word even though I had a word my mother wasn't going to listen to me, I mean it is a part of bieng a black child I guess. Thinking of that day when my mother got stroke it haunted me because I never imagined that one day my mother would be like that. While I was on the process of healing, I got pregnant and my baby daddy denied the child it's crazy right. I know...but the worse part is that I was doing Grade 8. But otherwise I didn't abort the baby that's what I am grateful for.
Imagine if I aborted the baby I wouldn't have gotten a chance to be called a mother. Somehow somehow I still believe that this baby is a blessing because he healed my heart . I know it's crazy and you might be wondering how I healed from two traumas ,number one bieng a mother to my mother number two bieng a single teenage mother, tell you something I learned that God won't give you a burden you won't be able to carry and everything happen for a reason.
I used those words as my motivation and by those words I was able to overcome my obstacles.
