Walking through the woods on a day off from school was Lily and her dad. They were looking for things to take pictures of for Lily's scrapbook. Dad looked up through the trees, the sun peeking through the leaves in the treetops. 'What do you think Lily, is that good enough for a picture?' he asked. Lily looked up and thought for a moment. 'Yes, I like that daddy.' So, Lily's dad took out the camera and took a few photos, catching the golden glow of the sun on the leaves.
They searched some more, taking pictures of mushrooms and flowers when Lily got all excited, 'WOW A FAIRY.' she screeched. Lily's dad looked around but could not see anything. 'I don't see it.' he told her.
'Silly daddy, only kids can see fairies.' she giggled. With that she asked for the camera and took some pictures as the fairy danced in front of her. The sunlight was bouncing off the glittery and Lily loved the sweet green dress that the fairy was wearing. Just as Lily took one last photo the fairy turned to her and waved before flying off through the woods. 'GOODBYE BEAUTIFUL FAIRY.' she shouted. Dad gazed at her and smiled when he saw how excited she looked.
As they continued their quest Lily's dad spotted a deer a few yards into the bushes and calmly told Lily to stay still and quiet. They stood and stared as the red deer was grazing on the woodland floor. 'She is beautiful daddy!' Lily exclaimed. 'Can we take a picture?'
'Yes, we can, but we have to be really quiet so that we do not scare her.' he explained. Lily's dad held up the camera and got the deer into focus. 'Ready?' he whispered. 'One, two, three.' He clicked the camera and FALSH went the light. The deer got startled, looked up and spotted Lily and her dad so ran off away from them. 'Oops.' sighed dad. 'I forgot about the flash.'
Lily giggled as she replied, 'Silly daddy.'
As the pair continued walking around looking for more opportunities Lily caught sight of what she thought was a horse. 'Look daddy, a beautiful and majestic white horse.' she said. Dad looked around but could not see it. 'I don't see it.' he replied. Lily took another look and noticed the wonderful golden horn on the horse’s head. It wasn't a horse after all, it was a magical unicorn. Lily's eyes lit up as she excitedly told her dad, 'It's a unicorn daddy. No wonder you can't see her, only kids can see unicorns.' Lily's dad was yet again so pleased to see the excitement in her eyes. Lily took the camera and snapped a few photos for her scrapbook. She was so pleased that she would have such amazing pictures.
The sun was starting to get lower in the sky, so Lily's dad told her it was time to get back home. Lily was getting tired and ready to leave anyway. They walked out of the woods and toward the carpark. As they reached the edge of the woods Lily's dad noticed one last thing to take a picture of. It was a huge dragon flying through the sky, flapping its mighty red wings. 'WOW A MIGHTY DRAGON.' he shouted. 'He is amazing, those
huge wings, that long tail.' Lily looked up into the sky, but could not see anything, but the orange glow of the setting sun. She turned to her dad and exclaimed, 'I don't see it daddy.' Lily's dad knelt in front of her and with a smile on his face he explained, 'Silly Lily, only Daddy can see dragons.'
