My name is Laquantas Winfield from Champaign, IL. I'm 43, and I've been dealing with aggressive neurological symptoms that have progressively increased over the past 3 years. The constant pain and involuntary body jerks have significantly impacted how I live my life. I used to be an incredibly energetic and driven individual. The issues I deal with on a daily basis have dramatically decreased my energy and motivation.
I've seen multiple neurologists and none of them know what I have or why I'm experiencing severe electric shocks throughout my body. Most recently, I saw a specialist at the University of Chicago who thinks I have a rare condition. This specialist recommended a test to monitor shocks and involuntary muscle movements and medications to help with pain.
I feel very lost and uncertain, especially since doctors say they've never seen anything like what I'm experiencing before. I'm reaching out for help so I can get back to living a happy and fulfilled life.
