Flowers are the most beautiful things on Earth.
From its strong roots, that no matter what,
kept them alive through all Earth's harshness,
too petals, that have tasted light itself.
Flowers have seen it all, from wars, to plagues
From deaths to births.
Through violence and beauty,
It has survived.
Flowers are truly the strongest things to break.
Yes, they get derooted easily,
But they can be reborn,
In a matter of second.
Their minds, like a maze filled, with memories
No one wishes to bare.
They do not quiver in fear of the unknown.
Do not shed a tear.
The sunflower, strongest of many, is a unique beauty.
Facing the sun for days on end,
It's love for the sun is nothing
Like we have experienced.
Even when the sun is not in sight,
They face each other.
Their energy and love for the sun keeping them
Alive from within themselves.
But what if, there is one too far off the field.
One close to the shadows,
One too hidden, it has never been seen.
Never had the opportunity to show its beauty.
What if that one does not get its love from the sun.
What will happen to the poor old thing,
Hiding in the shadows, wanting to be loved like the others,
But never receiving its nurturing touch from the sun.
Darkness surrounding it is so powerful,
It seems as if nothing can pass through its walls.
What if that flower never grows to be its true self,
Because it's been in the darkness for so long.
What then....
