"Today only a murder had occurred in Park Street Area in front of the Cemetery!! Everyone is thinking that the murder was done by an experienced killer! Police are investigating......Time will say the result."
After keeping the newspaper on the table Rajen took his cup and gave a little sip of the tea. He was deeply thinking about the murder case when the telephone rang.
"Cring...Cring"
"Hello, Mr. Rajen Bose speaking"
"Good morning, Bose Babu, I am inspector Sanjay Mahapatra from Park Street police station"
"How can I help you, Mr. Mahapatra?"
"Sir, we are unable to solve this murder mystery as everyone is suspecting each other"
"Okay I am reaching there in 30 mins"
After keeping the telephone, Rajen entered his room and dressed quickly. Eating his breakfast, he quickly took a bus to Park Street Cemetery. He talked with the police force and after examining the body carefully he said that the person had been killed by a blunt weapon. He started enquiring about every suspect and after that, he heard from an innocent-looking spectator that the name of the person was Manilal Majumder and he lived beside the cemetery. After all the inquiries, Inspector Mahapatra invited Rajen to have lunch with him. When they were having lunch at Russel's Street Rajen noticed that anyone was spying on them. A thin tall man with a black coat, a red muffler around his neck, and with a slightly reddish beard covering half of his face. When Rajen was returning home, he saw a white Honda City looking after him. He quickly notes the number "WB A406969". One thing was striking in his mind, -where is the blunt weapon? The next day when the first streak of the sun appeared on the horizon, he quickly went to the murder place though it was sealed by the police, but he was searching for some clue. Then after searching for two long hours, he found a moneybag and a small piece of paper on which a small note was written.
Today I have done a great mischief with my partner, I am feeling very sorrowful for that, and I want to atone.
After these clues, Rajen went to a cyber cafe to search for some information about the company in which Manilal Babu worked. On that evening he got the postmortem report of Manilal Babu. When he went to the house of Manilal Babu his servant Pyarelal told him that on that day his sahib was very tense about something, and he was going to the Vishnu mandir which was near his house. On that afternoon he went to talk with the manager of the company where Manilal Babu worked. On that evening after talking with Manilal Babu's wife and brother he called Inspector Mahapatra to call a small meeting at Manilal Babu's house. When Rajen reached there he saw everyone in Manilal Babu's family, Inspector Mahapatra, and two constables were there. Inspector Mahapatra asked-
"Are you able to spot the murderer?"
"Yes"
"Then please tell us"
"I will but first I want to ask some questions"
"Okay ask"
"My first question goes to Mr. Shyamlal (brother of Manilal Mazumder)"
"Can you tell me where you were when your elder brother was going to the Vishnu Mandir?"
"I was getting ready for office"
"When you went for your office?"
"At 10:30 am"
"But I went to your office yesterday and I heard that on that day you haven't come to the office due to illness!!!"
Shyamlal Babu was sweating in December.
"Are...Are you suspecting me ........... do. Do you have any evidence??????"
"Wait, Mr. Shyamlal, I am telling the truth"
"You went two minutes after your brother left the house telling that you were going to exchange the old fry pan in your kitchen, then You called your brother when he completed giving the puja and both of you went inside the Cemetery and you killed him with that old fry pan which you hide inside a grave and I have discovered it today and also if we test the blood stuck on it we will see the blood is matching with Manilal Mazumder's blood sample!!!!!!!!!"
"I have also asked the guard of the cemetery and he has also agreed that you and your brother have come there that day"
"Wrong...wrong...wrong. Everything you are saying is wrong"
"Mr. Mahapatra catch you murderer and he has stolen 50,000 rupees from his brother's bank account."
"I will see you, Rajen Babu, you have to pay for your sins!!"
"Take him away from my eyes inspector!" Mrs. Mazumder said.
"Sorry Mrs. Mazumder you have also done a serious crime!"
"What do you mean by that?!"
"You pressurized your husband to give you money as you know your husband will die soon and also you don't like your husband and you want to marry someone else."
"You are also a member of this crime and for that, you will also be arrested, Mrs. Mazumder!"
Mrs. Mazumder broke down in tears Mahapatra arrested both Mr. and Mrs. Mazumder. Mr. Mahapatra thanked Rajen and with this happy ending the story ended.
