Mia woke up, and the sun was shining! "Hooray!" she shouted. "It's a perfect day for the park!" She put on her favourite sparkly shoes and grabbed her little red ball.
She skipped all the way to the park. The swings were swinging, the slide was waiting, and the flowers were bright and happy. Mia saw a boy she knew, named Leo, playing by the sandbox.
"Hello, Leo!" she called. Leo looked up from his sandcastle. "Hi, Mia! Do you want to play?" Mia nodded, her smile getting even bigger.
First, they played on the swings. Mia went so high, she felt like she could touch the clouds! "Whee!" she giggled as Leo pushed her.
Next, they raced down the big, twisty slide. "Ready, set, go!" they shouted. Whoosh! They landed with a soft bump at the bottom, laughing all the way.
After the slide, they found a big, green field. Mia took out her little red ball. "Let's play catch!" she said. She threw the ball to Leo, and he caught it with a big clap of his hands.
They played catch until their tummies rumbled. "I think it's time for a snack," said Mia. They sat on a bench and shared some juicy apple slices.
The sun began to get a little sleepy, and it was time to go home. "Thank you for playing with me," said Leo. "It was the best day ever!"
Mia skipped home, her heart full of happy memories. Her little red ball was tucked safely under her arm. The park was still and quiet now, waiting for another day of fun.
That night, Mia dreamed of swings that touched the clouds and slides that went all the way to the moon. She couldn't wait to go back to the park and play with her friend again tomorrow.
The end.
