Once upon a time, in a magical land far, far away, there lived a 6-year-old girl named Mairi. Mairi was a sweet and imaginative child who loved nothing more than rainbows and unicorns. Her room was filled with colorful paintings of rainbows and posters of majestic unicorns galloping through fields of wildflowers.

But Mairi's favorite thing in the world was her pet sloth, named Buttons. Buttons was a curious and playful sloth who loved to cuddle up with Mairi and watch the rain fall outside her window. One rainy afternoon, as they sat together in Mairi's cozy room, Mairi began to tell Buttons a fantastical story.

Buttons, did you know that unicorns live on the other side of the rainbow? Mairi whispered to her furry friend. And they can fly over the rainbow, too! They soar through the sky on glittering wings, spreading magic wherever they go.

Buttons blinked his big, sleepy eyes and snuggled closer to Mairi, intrigued by her story. Mairi continued, her voice filled with wonder and excitement.

And you know what, Buttons? I heard that unicorns love to give rides to their animal friends. They whisk them away on their backs and take them on daring adventures through the clouds and beyond! Wouldn't it be amazing to ride a unicorn over the rainbow?

Buttons let out a happy little squeak, as if he agreed wholeheartedly with Mairi's dream. In that moment, Mairi closed her eyes and let her imagination soar. She pictured herself and Buttons riding on the back of a magnificent unicorn, their hair streaming behind them as they flew higher and higher into the sky.

Together, they soared over the rainbow, the colors swirling around them like a kaleidoscope. Mairi could feel the wind in her hair and the sun on her face, and she knew that this was where she truly belonged - in a world of magic and wonder, where anything was possible.

As the rain continued to fall outside, Mairi snuggled closer to Buttons and whispered, One day, Buttons, we'll ride a unicorn over the rainbow together. And it will be the most magical adventure of all.

And with that, Mairi drifted off to sleep, her dreams filled with rainbows, unicorns, and the promise of endless possibilities.
