The First Sip of Connection
It was one of those chilly Delhi mornings when Ayush stopped by his usual chai tapri before heading to work. The air smelled of fresh ginger chai, mixed with the chaos of street vendors.
That's when he saw her. Sia.
Wrapped in a simple shawl, she stood there, waiting for her chai, completely lost in her book. Just as he reached for his cup, she turned, and - bam! - books, phone, and almost a full cup of chai went flying.
"Oh shit, I am so sorry!" Ayush panicked.
Sia looked up, annoyed but amused. "If that chai had spilled on me, trust me, no 'sorry' would've saved you."
Ayush chuckled. "Noted. Next time, I'll drop coffee instead."
She rolled her eyes. "Ew. Coffee? What kind of a monster are you?"
And just like that, over a spilled chai and a silly argument, their story began.
From Chai to Chemistry
One random meeting turned into an everyday ritual. Every morning, before work and college, they'd meet at the same stall, sip chai, and talk about everything - books, movies, dreams, and life.
"You know," Ayush said one day, "chai is the best therapy."
"True," Sia agreed, taking a sip. "But only when shared with the right person."
Ayush smiled. She had no idea how much those words meant to him.
A Rainy Confession
One evening, it rained. Heavily. The city slowed down, but their usual chai stop stayed the same. Standing under a tiny tin shed, hands wrapped around warm cups, they watched the world rush past.
"Sia?" Ayush hesitated.
"Hmmm?" she looked at him, sipping her tea.
"If I tell you that I've started liking my chai even more because of you, what would you say?"
Sia smirked, pretending to think. "I'd say? without sugar, chai is incomplete. Just like my mornings without you."
For the first time, Ayush had no words. Only a wide, stupid grin.
That day, the rain poured. The chai steamed. And two hearts brewed something stronger than tea - love. ??
