I remember being perplexed about five years ago as I travelled with our village coordinator to hold a farmers' gathering in the evening in Havelikheda and Muljipura, Madhya Pradesh. Nearing 7 PM is the time. Farmers typically leave the fields after 7 PM.
Unexpectedly, a bike with three people on it came on the road: the driver is a kind gentle man, and two other passengers are women, one of them his wife and the other his mother. They are known to our village coordinator. They stopped the bike for a few minutes and engaged our village coordinator in conversation in their native language.
She tried to contact all the vehicles in the area, which was a bit humiliating and diffuse. But there were no vehicles around and the road was in bad condition, and it was raining. so he took them on his bike. However, our coordinator periodically inquired where they had arrived, how they were doing, and if they needed help and needed to be hospitalized.
In meantime villages come to receive as and drove us to the meeting spot 2 km from where we were staying with the fire torch which brightening from the fire.
After the meeting , the villagers drove to the place where we were staying and the coordinator was in constant contact with the villagers who drove to the hospital. Finally, we received the news that the woman gave birth to a baby after riding 100 km by bike.
We must construct a development plan for each village as the first step in our planning process. The government officials should interact positively with the villagers and the proliferation of AC rooms is bad for Indian villages. Villages are the primary unit of development.
Agriculture should be made a component of the educational system, and it should be given importance. Farmers should have the opportunity to produce and publish works based on their discoveries and research under a certain system. It aids in resolving the unemployment issue, and the youngest will remain in the area.
Working and staying in several villages gave me fresh and enriching experiences every day. The people, their culture, customs, and traditions are what distinguish each village as being distinct. Then, you'll see that seasonal unemployment, poor road connectivity, medical facilities, farmer marketing and storage facilities, and lavatory facilities, poor health and education are all rather frequent.
I learn from everything from journey to different village and I encounter and have nothing to impart. I wish to share the same with everyone. Share your ideas and viewpoints.
