Nisha had always been a solitary girl. Living alone in a small house on the outskirts of the village, she was used to the quiet life. But there was something that always made her uneasy. Something that she could never quite put her finger on.
One night, as she was lying in bed, she heard a faint tapping at her window. She ignored it, thinking it was just a branch from the tree outside. But then, the tapping grew louder, more insistent.
Nisha got up to investigate, her heart pounding in her chest. As she approached the window, she saw a pair of glowing eyes staring back at her. She gasped, stumbling backwards and falling to the floor.
From that night on, strange things began to happen. Nisha would hear footsteps outside her house at night, and sometimes, she would wake up to find her belongings moved or missing. She began to feel like she was being watched all the time, and the sense of dread she felt never went away.
One day, she decided to seek help from a local sage who was known for his ability to ward off evil spirits. The sage listened to her story, and then gave her a small amulet to wear around her neck.
"This should keep you safe," he said. "But be warned, there is something very powerful and very evil at work here. You must be very careful."
Nisha felt a sense of relief, but the feeling was short-lived. That night, as she lay in bed, she felt the amulet grow hot against her skin. She tried to remove it, but it was stuck fast.
And then, the tapping began again. This time, it was louder than ever, and accompanied by a low, guttural growling sound. Nisha was frozen with fear, unable to move as the tapping grew louder and more frantic.
And then, the window shattered. A dark figure leapt into the room, its eyes glowing with an otherworldly light. Nisha screamed, but no one came to her aid. The figure approached her slowly, its hand outstretched.
Nisha closed her eyes, waiting for the end to come. But when she opened them again, the figure was gone, leaving only the broken glass and a feeling of overwhelming dread.
From that day on, no one ever saw or heard from Nisha again. Some say she was taken by the spirit that haunted her, while others believe that she simply disappeared into the night. But one thing is for sure - her story serves as a warning to anyone who dares to live alone in the darkness.
