Emma's First Day Adventure at school
Little Emma was about to go to school for the first time. She had spent all summer hearing stories from her older brother about school – the fun games, the colorful books, and the new friends. But as the big day approached, Emma felt nervous. What if the teacher didn't like her? What if she couldn't find her way around? The morning of her first day, Emma put on her new school uniform, tied her shiny shoes, and looked in the mirror. She tried to smile, but her tummy felt like it was full of knots. Her mom noticed and knelt down beside her. "It's okay to feel a little scared," she said gently. "But remember, everyone there is excited to meet you, too." When they arrived at the school, Emma held her mom’s hand tightly as they walked through the big gates. The playground was buzzing with children laughing and playing. Emma felt small and unsure. But then, her teacher, Mrs. Green, greeted her with a warm smile. "Welcome, Emma! We’re going to have so much fun today!" Mrs. Green showed Emma to her classroom, where she found a seat next to a girl named Mia. Mia smiled and handed Emma a crayon. "Want to color with me?" she asked. Emma nodded shyly and started to draw. Slowly, the knots in her tummy began to unwind. As the day went on, Emma found herself enjoying the activities – singing songs, listening to stories, and playing games. At recess, she and Mia explored the playground together, laughing as they swung on the swings and chased each other around. When the school day ended, Emma’s mom was waiting for her outside. Emma ran up to her, her face beaming with joy. "Guess what, Mom? School is so much fun! I made a new friend, and we played all day!" That night, as Emma lay in bed, she felt happy and proud of herself. The first day of school had been an adventure, and she couldn’t wait to go back the next day.
