Malik trudged through the dimly lit station, his tired eyes fixed on the tracks as he made his way home from the office. The evening air carried a chill, and desolation lingered in the empty platforms. As he waited for his train, he noticed a solitary figure in one of the carriages - a girl with hauntingly familiar features.

Intrigued, Malik followed her as she disembarked at the next station. Hastily, he darted through the closing doors, narrowly escaping the train's departure. Heart pounding, he searched the platform for the mysterious girl, but she had vanished into thin air. Then, in a surreal moment, he spotted her on the opposite platform, beckoning him with an otherworldly allure.

Driven by curiosity, Malik attempted to cross the perilous rail line to reach her. With each step, the ground trembled beneath him as if warning of impending danger. Suddenly, a deafening roar filled the air - the piercing sound of an oncoming train hurtling toward him at full speed.

Malik leapt forward in a desperate bid for survival, narrowly escaping the oncoming locomotive. Gasping for breath, he stumbled onto the safety of the opposite platform, relief flooding through him as he believed he had cheated death.

But his relief was short-lived.

As Malik turned to face the girl, a chilling realization dawned upon him - the girl's face was eerily familiar, hauntingly so. Memories long buried surged to the forefront of his mind, and he recoiled in horror as he remembered.

She was the girl who had perished in a tragic train accident at this very station years ago.

Before Malik could comprehend the gravity of his situation, the girl's spectral form shimmered in the dim light, her eyes locking onto his with an unnerving intensity. Panic clawed at his throat as he stumbled backwards, his mind struggling to grasp the impossible truth.

"You're... you're dead," Malik stammered, his voice trembling with fear and disbelief.

The girl's ethereal gaze softened, a faint glimmer of sadness flickering in her translucent eyes. With a voice as soft as a whisper, she spoke, her words echoing in the hollow expanse of the station.

"So are you, Malik."

A wave of dread washed over him as the truth sank in - Malik was no longer among the living. He was but a ghost, trapped in a realm between life and death, his earthly existence nothing but a fading memory.

As realization dawned upon him, Malik's phantom form trembled, the weight of his newfound reality crushing him with unbearable force. In that haunting moment, he understood the true horror of his fate - the endless eternity of wandering, lost and alone, in the shadowy depths of the afterlife.

And as the girl's spectral figure faded into the darkness, Malik was left to ponder the chilling reality of his existence - a ghost condemned to roam the haunted corridors of the station, forever chasing the echoes of a life long past.
