It was late at night, when Alex lay in his bed and stared at the bright full moon outside. Alex had never seen the moon shine this bright before, and he knew that there was something different about this night. Maybe this would be the night when all his dreams and wishes come true and he could be whisked away on a fantastical adventure into the magical world of kings, dragons, and fairies.
With that thought on his mind, Alex closed his eyes and immediately drifted off into the world of dreams. When he looked around at his surroundings, he realized that he was in a forest. It looked astounding with so many different colors of trees, a river flowing by that had water as clear as the sky above, and there were so many creatures all around; each of them having its own unique features.
Suddenly, Alex stepped forward on something mushy and soft and he looked down to see that it was a tail of the cat.
“Hey boy!” The cat murmured, “Look where you are going?”
Alex looked more mesmerized at the fact that the cat could talk, “You can talk?” He exclaimed.
“Yes, of course I can,” The cat shook its head, “I have a tongue.” It said, pulling out its tongue.
“Do you like in this jungle?” Alex asked and the cat nodded.
“Yeah, I was on my way to save a princess from a the mystical kingdom actually,” The cat replied, “Do you want to join me?”
Alex immediately nodded and followed the cat deep into the jungle. They kept on walking until they heard some little thing signing, “Beyond the river, its all dark, but all that it takes is a cat, boy and a frog.”
“Who is there?” Alex called out, and suddenly a little frog hopped out of the bush.
“Hello boy,” The frog smiled, “So my song did come true. A boy, a cat and a frog crossing the river to reach the mystical castle.”
“Really?” Alex asked, “Maybe I am not that boy.”
“Oh you certainly are,” The cat said, “You just gotta believe in yourself.”
With that the three of them walked forward and suddenly noticed the dark river, and above the river, there was a dragon blowing out fire.
“Oh my!” Alex exclaimed. The cat chanted magic under its breath and all three of them were now in their armors, ready to fight the dragon.
“We can do it!” Alex shouted and shot an arrow up into the air towards the dragon. It roared out angrily and came towards them with great speed but together the three of them were so strong that they beat the dragon an it flew away scared of their strength.
Now, they were standing at the castle and looked overjoyed, “Finally we have made it,” The frog smiled.
“It is time for you to go now, Alex,” The cat smiled, “We will go on other great adventures soon.
With that, Alex woke up from his dream and from then on, he always looked forward to going back to sleep again so he could experience the magical world again.
