I opened my eyes and found myself lying on soft, glowing grass that shimmered like emeralds under the sun. The air was sweet, filled with the scent of flowers I’d never seen before. As I stood up, I realized—I wasn’t in the world I knew.
Before me stretched a dreamlike valley where rivers flowed in colors, not of water, but of liquid rainbows. One stream fell as a magnificent rainbow waterfall, its colors bending and dancing in the mist, painting the air with sparks of light. Every drop that touched the ground bloomed into tiny glowing flowers.
I wandered deeper into this strange land, my footsteps light as if the ground itself carried me. The trees swayed without wind, humming soft melodies, and creatures with shimmering wings flew above me, leaving trails of silver dust in the sky.
Everywhere I looked, the world seemed alive, watching me, welcoming me. I didn’t know how I had arrived here, but I felt no fear—only wonder.
So I kept roaming, chasing the rainbow rivers and exploring the endless mystery of this dream world.
As I wandered through the glowing fields, I reached the base of the rainbow waterfall. Mist sparkled around me, and when I leaned closer, I saw something unusual in the reflection on the water’s surface.
It wasn’t just me staring back—it was another me.
I blinked. The reflection stepped out of the water, like the surface was a doorway, and suddenly, there I was—face to face with myself. But this other version of me looked… different. Their eyes glowed faintly, as if they held all the colors of the rainbow within them. Their smile was calm, knowing.
“Who are you?” I asked, though the answer felt obvious.
“I am you,” they said, their voice echoing like music in the dream air. “The part of you that lives here, in this world of dreams. You’ve come to find me.”
We walked together under the rainbow mist, and they told me that every dream I’d ever had was a path leading here. That this place was not only beautiful—it was a mirror of my own heart.
For the first time, I felt like I wasn’t alone. I was walking with myself, but a self that knew secrets I hadn’t yet learned.
As we walked together near the rainbow waterfall, I felt time slipping in strange ways. The colors in the air began to fade, and I noticed something unsettling—my dream-self was slowly becoming transparent, their glowing form dissolving into mist.
I reached out my hand.
“Wait… don’t go,” I whispered.
They smiled gently, eyes shimmering with all the colors of the dream world.
“We will meet again,” they said softly, their voice echoing like a fading song.
And with that, they disappeared into the air, leaving only the sparkle of rainbow light drifting down like dust.
I blinked—and suddenly, I was back in my room. The ceiling above me was plain and familiar, yet my heart still carried the wonder of that dream world. I lay there in silence, remembering their words.
We will meet again.
I couldn’t help but smile. Because deep down, I knew it was true.
