Lila was on her way home from a party. It was 12 O' clock midnight. The moon hung high in the sky, glowing white among the silvery stars. She could not help the tears from streaming down her cheeks as she walked through the dark, desolate streets. She pondered all the events that led her to this moment.

Earlier in the day she had been invited to a party by her boyfriend. He seemed so ecstatic about her being there, even though she declined him the first few times. After The fourth time, she gave in with an unenthusiastic "Okay". He beamed with excitement when she answered the way she did. She got into her most beautiful dress and boots and fixed her hair into an extra fancy up do. After getting dressed she started to feel happier about her decision to say yes. When it was time they both jumped into his car and sped off through the cold winter night. Glancing over into his face she couldn't help but think how demonic and wicked his face looked. During the drive she kept shuddering and regretting her decision to go, and her instincts were certainly on point as the party was everything but a party.

Arriving at the destination, he stopped the car quickly and abruptly and hopped out of the driver's seat, running into the house, he, left her, alone and freezing in the passenger seat. With trepidation, she flung open the door, and one foot at a time, stepped out into the foggy, night. The fog shrouded the night in a misty white foam. Walking up to the large two-story house, she could hear the dance music emanating from the open door. Fluorescent white Lights were wrapped all around the bottom and the top floors of the house. Making her way to the open door, she entered and everything got silent. Gulping back fear, she watched as her boyfriend and a gorgeous woman with silky black hair Walked onto the top of the stairs and announced:

"We've been cheating together, you foolish woman. No one loves you, you lonely idiot." Together, they shouted all this through a microphone.

Then, he spoke out by himself "I never loved you and every time I hugged and kissed you, I felt sick. EVERYBODY! Start throwing the food." He Shouted through the microphone.

Out of nowhere, an unknown assailant came up to her and smashed a vanilla cake in her face. That was only the beginning: more food started to fly across the room at her. Hitting her forcefully. She started to cry out in distress. Thinking quickly, she ran out the front door. Hearing what seemed like thousands of voices, she could distinguish they were saying horrible things. Not looking back she ran and ran until the voices and the food dissipated.

Now here she was, crying and alone, with only the full moon to guide her way. The house was new to her, so she didn't really have an idea of which way was home for her. Removing her phone from her purse, she typed her address into the search bar. At that moment her phone started to glitch. The screen turned to into static. Frustrated, she threw her phone into her purse; more tears cascaded down her face. Suddenly a strong gust of icy cold wind whipped around her. Hugging herself tightly, she tried to make sense of her surroundings. In the faint light that the moon provided she noticed a particular tree. Its leaves were large and shaped like hearts and the color was something out of this world. They appeared to be fuchsia, and lavender and they glowed magnificently in the night.

Her tears started to fade as she walked over to the tree. She shivered even harder as the night air got even colder. Picking a lavender leaf and a fuchsia leaf from the tree, a fruity fragrance wafted through the night air. The leaves, unlike the rest of the night were warm and they felt soft and fuzzy in her hand. This can't be real, she thought to herself. Despite the unnatural beauty of the tree, she couldn't control herself and tears started to run like a river from her eyes. A few droplets landed on the leaves.

A burst of light radiated from the leaves and upon them were little people. Throwing the leaves onto the ground she stumbled backwards.

"What the hell is going on! She screamed out loud.

Faintly, through the night she could hear the most pleasant jingle. It sounded like music that played from an ice cream truck. Her tears froze as she saw the whole tree light up sparkly gold. It was an explosion of bright color, and she saw the little people dancing upon the leaves. They were all holding hands. To her they looked like beautiful curly haired angels. Each one of them sparkled even brighter gold than the tree, which didn't seem possible, and their white robes glowed around them. Dancing for a little longer, they began to slow their pace and eventually came to a halt. Looking in Lila 's direction with sparkly silver eyes, they spoke in a soft and melodic tune.

"Greetings lovely Lila," they said in the most magical voice she had ever heard.

She was stunned that they knew her name as if they had been waiting there for her all along.

"We see the beauty in everyone. We know you are hurting inside, and we would like to recruit you into our world. A world where you have all the strength inside you, the power, and the wisdom, the bravery, the enchantment to overcome any obstacle in front of you. What do you say, are you interested?"

Through a heap of tears, she shook her head yes. She couldn't find the right words to say at that moment. All the sudden, everything transformed. The tree instead of the beautiful gold hue, turned into bright orange flames and the small people turned life-size. The once cute little curly haired angels turned into disfigured monsters with protruding eyes and horns Their skin a sickly pale green. The horned figures danced and danced, their black robes swaying around them, the flaming tree in front of them began to extinguish itself and instead became a sinister creature with one glowing red eye and looked like a wooden dummy tree. Then came the ear-shattering music. They sang in unison with the most horrible booming voices.

"Demon souls! Demon souls! Demon souls! Into the dark depths of hell your soul goes. There is no escape from your decisions. We are going to operate on your life with precision! Try to run, try to hide, your life is ours, your soul is ours, you belong to the devil, body and soul!" They sang loudly and angrily.

Not being able to remain calm, she screamed and started to run past the evil people and the tree-creature. Evil laughter boomed through the night, and she could feel the world shaking around her, as the ground split open in front of her. Bolts of lightning lit up the sky and struck at the ground. Next, came the heavy rain. She ran and ran and ran, her world crumbling around her. In the distance, she could see the little apartment complex where she lived. Running fast, she didn't stop until she reached the door with the heart wreath. Throwing open the door, she slammed it, and locked it behind her.

She felt sick once she entered the threshold. All the lights were on, and she could clearly see her mom and dad sitting on the couch with their throats sliced. Her sister was lying on the floor with her head next to her! She could hear sirens in the distance. Feeling relieved, she threw open the door and there were two tall police officers standing outside, their guns drawn. "Hands on your head get on the floor," They shouted.

"You don't understand'" she said shivering .

"Shut up! They screamed. We understand perfectly!" One of the cops shouted, kicking the back of her foot and making her fall.

Aggressively, they put the handcuffs on and began to speak.

"You have the right to remain silent anything you say can and will be used against you in a court of law, you have a right to an attorney and if you can't afford one you will be appointed one..." Their voices trailed off as they shoved her into the back of the car.

She couldn't explain it. She didn't feel like herself. Instead, she felt angry and tired and full of hatred. After the gruesome scene she had witnessed, she didn't feel sad, and she didn't like it. Looking out the window she saw blood coming from the police officers' eyes and ears and mouth. Horns started to grow on the top of their head. She screamed as they laughed and jumped into the front of the car. From up front they began to speak in the most horrifying voices.

"Don't worry. You're going to prison for the rest of your life and in there you will be tormented with terrifying visions of death and horror. You will hear our voices, taunting you, as far as your son goes, he is dead too HAHAHAHA!" They cackled hysterically. On the screen of their computer, she saw a picture of her son lying peacefully on the floor in a pool of blood. Once again, she didn't feel sad, she felt numb and angry.

Then she began to laugh. The cops looked confused, and a little bit scared. Looking over to each other first, they then looked back at her.

"What's so funny?" they both asked in unison.

"You forgot, I'm an angel of god. I come in many forms and I'm here to tell you, that even though you murdered my family, son and parents, they are all going to heaven. At that moment a rainbow of light illuminated the dull light from the police car.

One of the police turned around and she noticed that it was her boyfriend. She always had the feeling he was a child of Satan. After all, she had the incite being an angel of God. Then, she herself began to glow sparkly gold. With that, she blew them kisses and they began to crumble into nothing. The police car turned into a lavender airplane and flew up to the heavens.

In heaven she was surrounded by apple trees and oceans and unlimited soft drinks. She could hear her little boy's voice calling out to her.

"This is all I ever wanted, to be safe in heaven with you." he said in a melodic voice.

Once again tears streamed down her face. That was all she could ever ask for as well. Memories came flooding back to her, she left her son alone the night of the party and he was murdered by one of her boyfriend's friends along with her mom and dad. Before that moment, she was in a dark world full of evil entities but then she talked to God, and he turned her into an angel. Everything she was seeing was supernatural as she no longer existed on earth. Grabbing her son's hand she said:

"Now we can play together forever AND NO ONE can ever take you away from me again, also we live next door to grandma and grandpa, and they have the most beautiful hearts."

Together they glided through the heavens, away from plane and over to her mom and dad's house in heaven.
