"Are you sure, Trish? I'm scared," the young blond haired young lady said with her voice trembling as she paced around the hall while her friend, Tirisha, tried to calm her down through it all.
"Of course I'm sure! Just get in there and tel him about the baby," the brown haired
woman said with an assuring, yet, nervous smile on her pale chubby face.
"What if he doesn't accept the baby? During our copulation, the protection broke
and...and I knew but I didn't say anything. Now, he will ask on how this happened and then what should I say?" the young women asked, cupping her head before leaning against the wall and slumping down, already feeling tired from pacing around, "he will kill me! What if-"
"Stop assuming things, Gabi. It's not good for the baby. Have a positive mind. He might get angry at you for not telling him before he...you know, but he won't stay angry forever. Chad is understanding and is responsible, believe me when I say so and I'm sure he will be willing to step up and take care of you and his child that is yet to be born." Tirisha said and walked towards her friend, crouching at her level to give her a hug, "you do not know what his reaction will be if you don't tell him about this. Just...just get in there and tell him, okay. Whatever will come up along the way about you not telling him what happened during that, just suck it up. But, I'm sure he will accept his child and will take care of you," she added, gently rubbing her back as Gabriela nodded her head.
The two stayed in that position for a bit longer before Tirisha decided that it was time, either now or never. The older helped the pregnant young woman up her feet as Gabriela released a few pants from her plump, parted lips before gazing at the wooden door that had the room number '314'. "I'll do it," she said before exhaling sharply as she looked back at her friend who had a wide smile on her face.
"That's the spirit!" Tirisha exclaimed in excitement , "don't worry too much and it's okay to feel nervous. Just know that you're doing this for the baby, okay?" she softly said as Gabriela nodded her head before glancing back at the door that only gave her goosebumps.
Slowly, Gabriela began walking towards the door, breathing in softly before she looked back at her friend who gave her thumps up before walking down the hall to avoid being caught by the male Gabriela was yet to meet face to face.
The woman reached the door and raised her hand that was gently balled into a fist. She hesitated to knock as she battled with her thoughts but after a moment, she finally knocked on the wooden door and nervously waited for the other to respond. During that time, she felt like running away and doing this another time but Tirisha wouldn't allow her since she was already a week and a few days pregnant and waiting longer would only put her relationship with Chad at risk.
After what seemed to take forever but only a minute, the door opened and there stood a tall man with dirty-blond, night-sky eyes, a sharp jaw, cloud-like baby-pink lips and a flawless light skin. His hair was combed sideways with a few strands covering his left eye, and the male had a well-built body. All he wore were loose black pants, a big plain white shirt with white socks to cover his feet.
"Gabi?" he questioned the young woman's arrival as he looked slightly surprised to see her after two days.
"H-hi," Gabriela stuttered as she looked down, avoiding eye-contact with her boyfriend.
"Hi...come in," Chad said with such a soft, soothing, yet, mature voice, "what are you doing here?" he asked.
"Um...I...I wanted to tell you something important," she said, watching the male walk towards the window and gaze down at the streets with such a blank expression. "Babe-"
"I also wanted to tell you something... I can't... I can't keep this secret any longer," the male said and turned around to look at his girlfriend, "Gabi, you are a wonderful person. I would be lying if I said you don't make me happy. You're a beautiful woman, one any man would dream of having. You have such a good personality and a very pure, sweet heart. When we began with our relationship, I told you that I did not like you for your body but for who you truly are. Not that you don't have a good body, you do! But what makes you perfect is the simple things you love doing...like cuddling, going out for dates, watching movies together and having ice cream together," he said as Gabriela giggled, the corners of her eyes having tears that were ready to fall.
"I love all that. Not all women are like you. You are unique. Don't ever degrade yourself," he said, watching his girlfriend smile through her tears, "I... I p-promised to be honest with you," he whispered, voice cracking as a tear trailed down his cheek, "I promised to be with you till death do we part. You gave me all your trust and I did too...but..." he trailed off, looking down at the tiled floor as his smile slowly turned into a frown and his lips quivered.
"But what?"
Chad looked at his hands before looking up at the woman who was smiling. He could already imagine that smile turning into a frown and her heart breaking with whatever he was about to say next.
"I... I can't be with you..." he whispered and shut his eyes, looking away from the now shocked pregnant woman.
"W-what?" Gabriela questioned in nervousness.
"I'm sorry, Gabi. I'm so...so sorry," Chad cried and cupped his head, "I never thought of doing this to you but it hurts keeping it all inside."
"Baby, you... You're only confused-"
"I'm not! I'm not...okay? I've gone to many therapists, asked a lot of people but all give me the same answer! I never wanted to be this way but I can't help it," the taller said and sat on the modern bed.
"Darling, I don't understand. Are you sick?" Gabriela asked, hoping it could be something that would not affect their relationship.
"I'm not sick... I'm cursed!! I tried to avoid this but I can't. I can't be with you again... I can't hurt you any longer-"
"But, right now, you are hurting me, Chad!" Gabriela cried and cupped her stomach.
"I... I like someone else," he confessed, "and... And I went behind your back and did something stupid to which I regret doing because it left me this way... And also left me to finally accept the truth."
"You...you cheated on me?" the blond haired woman asked in disbelief.
"I'm sorry. We cannot continue with this relationship. It's for our own good," Chad mentioned and stood up, walking towards the window, "I need to be alone now..." he whispered, cupping his mouth as he silently sobbed to himself.
"I don't understand this. Who is she?"
"I can't tell you that!"
"And why?! You know what, I hate you for using me-"
"I DID NOT USE YOU, GABI!!!" The depressed man yelled, causing Gabriela to suddenly flinch at the sudden raise, "I really liked you then. I did not use you... Please, just understand me," he whispered.
"How should I when you don't tell me the real reason for this. I know you're keeping something."
"I can't tell you."
"And why not?"
"I'm ashamed. I can't even say the word. I don't even want to hear it."
"Liar."
"I'm not lying to you. I really can't say it." Chad said and lowered his head. "This is difficult for me."
"Just tell me why you're doing this. I can help you," Gabriel la offered but Chad shook his head.
"You can't. I was meant to be this way." he said in a mumble.
"What way?"
"You don't want to hear it, Gabi."
"I do! And I have every reason for it. You...you can't do this to me! I gave you my all and this is what I get! I can't believe you. I... I should have known that you're nothing but-"
"I'M GAY THEN!!!" Chad shouted and in two seconds, there was silence. "I'm...I'm attracted to men and you don't know how much I hate it. I can't do this to you. I like someone else and it's a male. I already did it with him and I hate to admit that it felt good! I hate this, I hate who I am but I have no choice than to live with it. I never wanted this to happen. You can hate me, slap me or even insult me but that won't change the fact that I don't want to be with you anymore," he said before breaking down into tears, "at times, I just wanted to kill myself but I didn't have the courage to do so. I always cry myself to sleep since the day I found out and it would only hurt more whenever you talked about our future with us together. Please understand me, Gabi..."
Gabriela looked down as she couldn't believe what she heard. She understood what the other was going through but all she could think of was the fertile in her womb.
"Gabi, please speak to me. Tell me you at least understand," Chad whispered but Gabriela shook her head and began walking towards the door with her tears trailing down her puffy cheeks.
Chad saw this and all he could do was nothing but watch his now ex-girlfriend walk away. He couldn't blame her but never expected her to walk away after looking at him in disgust. After she left, her sobs were heard from outside before they began fading away. Chad sat on his bed before laying down on it and gazing up at the ceiling, "I never wanted this... I didn't like you, Gabi," he mumbled, "I loved you, was willing to spend my eternity with you and form a family but...I never wanted this. Never."
The End.
