Phileas Fogg is one of Verne's most common and impactful characters. He is an Englishman who leads a very organised and structured life. He has good manners, is punctual and is very particular about what he wants. But he is also considered mysterious because very little was known about him. He was hardly seen at the banks, the inns, or any other common places. Nobody knew how he had earned a living. The only information people had about him was that he was a member of the Reform Club. He is tall and blond and has a mustache and blue eyes. He wagers with the Reform Club that he can travel around the world in 80 days. He is someone who is confident in his capabilities and has overcome many obstacles and trials to get back home to win the wager. He is gentle man with perfect manners.
