It was a pleasant warm evening; birds were chirping melodiously, clouds were dancing at a snail's pace in the sky, the Sun was dipping down the horizon...but Amanda was in great hurry! She had to attend a conference, prepare supper, and write an article for which she didn’t even decided the label yet! Her husband, Ron was doing the household chores and was hymning his favourite tune. Their twin daughters were completing their homework. Their dog was sleeping peacefully but was restless. “Done” exclaim the twins after finishing their homework." Good job my young geniuses! Now keep quiet, your mother is quite busy so, don’t disturb her...she has a lot of work to do...okay? Said Ron as a responsible father moreover an incredible husband.”Definitely, although we were going to the playground! So, may we leave?”
Asked Sky. “Sure, but take care” Ron ensured that they should be safe “No, I don’t want to go...I am very drowsy and the only thing I will do is sleep...” said Fleur in disagreement with her sister. “Fleur, I am one minute older than you! You should listen to me! Remember you are my slave, and you should obey me!” shouted Sky in rage and ego. “I am not your slave” Fleur shouted back at sky, defending herself. Ron was about to say something then only, Amanda in anger shouts at her maximum peak “Fleur High and Sky High, can’t you two be quiet! This is your first and last warning, now if you both don’t keep quiet then you see what I do!” Fleur and Sky started crying very loudly. Ron was scolding them because they were crying for no reason. Their dog Scooby also started barking.
The pleasant evening was now not at all pleasant it became miserable.
Amanda closed her eyes and sighed.
Suddenly! She saw a portal opening...she felt like someone was snatching her inside.
When she opened her eyes, she was in a different world...or we can say an unhappy world.
She was roaming around the city in great pleasure because the area was still.
After some time, she felt uncomfortable because nobody was merry in that world!
Finally, she found a human...she asked him “Excuse me, do you know why nobody is happy here?
The Person answered, “What is happy?” Amanda was surprised and in disbelief, then she asked that person “Do you know what emotions are?” the person answered, “yeah, we know what emotion is...it is money...What do you mean by 'emotions'?” Amanda understood that this world would surely be greedy...and not happy.
She thanked the person for giving his precious time to her but as she said the world was extremely greedy, the stranger asked for money in exchange of his time!
Amanda said she has no money at the moment, but she can pay him later....and walked away.
She spent some days there....and thought to make a change.
But the question was how?
After some hours of thinking she knew what she should do. She thought to take action instead of thinking.
She wore a coat because cold breeze was blowing that can make her sick and she can't afford to be sick as time was less and a lot to do....
She worked at a restaurant for some days to earn money and when she got her salary, she resigned.
With that money she bought a laptop and opened a website.
And wrote blogs. She wrote about different emotions...and made people feel their folly. She made the world joyful and flooded by different feelings.
Suddenly, Amanda opens her eyes and gets to know she dozed off and its midnight. Everyone in her house is sleeping. She missed her conference. She realised how the real world was changing into the world in her dream. And now Amanda knew what her article’s label should be ‘A World with Forgotten Happiness’.
