I grew up with my grandma in a local government in one of the Nigeria state. When I was younger, I attended a private school, but when my grandma couldn't afford the school fees anymore, she transferred me to a public school. After being transferred to a public school, I was asked to repeat a class due to academic challenges. I accepted the decision and worked hard to improve, my academic performance didn't improve immediately, despite my best effort. However, I persisted and continued to work hard, by the time I reached primary six I started se see significant improvement in my reading and writing skills. Unfortunately, I had a teacher in the early years who made unfair comments about my appearance, particularly my hairs, suggesting I was dirty and didn't take my bath regularly, she punished me everyday for that. Despite this challenge I remained focused and eventually improved in my studies. Despite struggling with spoken English I persevered and successfully wrote the common entrance exam, which enabled me to secure admission into secondary school. My secondary school experience was challenging, particularly with financial struggles, including paying school fees and affording uniforms and other expenses. Although I wasn't an exception student, I worked hard and managed to pass each class without repeating any, which was a significant accomplishments for me. After completing my WAEC and NECO exams, I was looking forward to a graduation ceremony. However, my school administration decided nit to hold one, citing that my class was particularly challenging. Despite this setback my classmates and I organised a small party to celebrate our achievements. After the makeshift graduation, I visited my parents in the village after long time apart. During my stay, I realised my dad's strict nature, which became particularly evident. When I prepared to return to my grandma's place, he refused to let me go, leading to an emotional confrontation. Eventually, he relented, and I was able to leave. After returning to my grandma's place, I secured a job with a woman who lived about hours away. Initially, my role was to keep her company and handle household chores. However things took a turn when she started taking me to her farm, where I was expected to do manual labor. After working on the farm for almost three weeks, I felt exhausted and decided it was time to focus my JAMB exam. With that the exam date approaching, I requested my payment and informed the woman that I would leaving to concentrate on my studies. Since my exam centre was near my grandma's place, I decided not to return to the woman's house and instead focused on preparing for my exams. "After passing my JAMB exam, I visited my aunty in ogun state, who had promised to help me find a job. She took me to a food vendor, where I was to work washing plates, fetching water, and running errands. I was hopeful that this opportunity would be a stepping stone towards my future goals. I work tirelessly for over four months, saving my daily earnings in about provided by my aunty. However, when I checked my savings one day I was shocked to discover that my aunty husband had packed almost all my money telling me he would pay them back which was a lie. To make matter worse, I had also been subject to maltreatment and my aunty husband always asking of sleeping with me, because I didn't allow him he was very harsh on me, his wife wasn't aware of the reason why he was so harsh on me but she would also support him. This betrayal was a harsh reality face. After months of hard work, I started processing my admission and was thrilled to be granted a spot in a polytechnic program for a national diploma. Although I faced financial struggles my parents did their best to support me. Due to accommodation constraints, I initially stayed with a church member for almost a year before finally securing my own space. Just hours drive from my grandma's place she would also support me with food. With God guidance, I navigated numerous challenges and successfully completed my National diploma. After visiting my parents once again, I encountered enemies in the village who plotted against me. However, thanks to my parents prayers and support, their plans were thwarted. I then returned to my grandma's place and decided to take a bold step by husting in lagos to save money for my HND. After settling in lagos, I faced a period of unemployment before landing a job that allowed me to save money, thanks to my employer's support with my feeding expenses and I was sleeping under her roof. I worked diligently for almost two years, saving up for my HND program. When I applied for the program, everything fell into place. Not only did I get admission, but i also met a kind sponsor who offered to support me, making it possible for me to pursue my education without financial strain, at this time karma was already dealing with my aunty husband it wasn't being easy for them. During my HND program, I didn't face any significant challenges. I even started a small food stuff and provision shop, which helped me financially, I eventually balanced by business and studies, and after two years I graduated. I'm here today doing well for myself and still hoping God open doors for me.
