The Indian woman and man woke up slowly, their eyes opening wide to reveal a vast island with light blue water and golden sand. The sunset illuminated the pure blue and peach sky.
This beauty in front of them was something within a dream, but they awoke, confused about how they both got here.
Was this in a dream or wasn't it a dream?
The lady looked at the guy as the guy stared into her eyes.
"Who are you?" They both said at the same time. "You go first." "No, you go first." "Ladies first."
"My name is Mona." "And you sir?"
"I'm Jeremy, nice to meet you!"
Mona looked down at what she was wearing. A pink T-shirt with Jean shorts on and sandals.
Jeremy is wearing a blue t-shirt with dark blue shorts and flip-flops.
Jeremy and Mona looked at each other with confused looks on their faces. Mona touches Jeremy's face with both hands, feeling on his arms and hands.
Jeremy looks uncomfortable.
"Wait, what is this?" Some kind of security check a something?"
Mona looked at him.
"NO, I'm trying to see if you're real." I have no idea how I got here and who you are."
"I went to bed yesterday night and then I woke up to be on an island."
"I have no idea..." Mona said as Jeremy interrupted her.
"WAIT, I'm trying to figure it out too but no lie, this is what I dreamed of."
"I mean I'm here with a beautiful woman and on this beautiful island."
Mona rolled her eyes.
Jeremy then cleared his throat.
Cough..cough.."Okay, but I'm very confused now too." "I'm from Cali, where I have a nice apt and a successful real estate career." "By the way I was supposed to be at work this...."
"What time is it anyway?"
"Well, I find it interesting that you're from Cali. I'm from Nashville." "I'm a nurse," Mona said.
"We're both Indian too," Jeremy said.
They both looked around as they both stood up.
"Wait, are u thinking what I'm thinking?" "There's no one on this island."
"No way!" It's like we're on a reality show of Survivor," Jeremy said.
They both walked around the island and ended up in the same spot where they both first started.
"This is weird."
Rob turned around with his mouth open in shock.
"Looked up the top of the hill."
There was this beautiful brown wooden cabin.
Mona looked down at the golden sand that had an arrow drawn into the sand, leading to the top of the hill.
"How come we didn't notice this before?"
Jeremy and Mona start walking slowly up the hill admiring the beautiful cabin that had rose bushes on both sides of the cabin and a nice front porch with comfortable lounge chairs.
"Should we knock?"
Mona and Jeremy looked at each other as the door opened by itself. Jeremy and Mona's hearts jumped as they both became frightened.
Slowly their mouths opened as they couldn't believe how beautiful it looked inside.
Felt very welcoming. As they both walked in looking around. All the furniture was gold. Beautiful art on the walls. Comfortable cream-brown couches and recliners. Angelic tall statues in the corners of the living room. The dining room had a beautiful dining room set. Flowers on the table. The window blinds were opened. The sunrise filled the whole house.
The two bedrooms were decorated nicely. Arts on the wall. Gold covers.
Flower vases stood alongside the walls in the rooms.
The kitchen had food prepared already.
There were pancakes, bacon, eggs, orange juice, and fruit.
Mona and Jeremy kept looking to see if there was a chef. There wasn't no one.
There was a note on the counter that read.
Hello Madame and gentleman, make yourselves at home.
There will be some assignments for you both to complete.
You both have a purpose.
We will start with you both feeding the birds South of the island and watering some plants.
We need some logs to be moved, too.
Eat up cause it's going to be a long day for you both. Your dream or not a dream, it's a real reality.
Mona looked, at Jeremy.
"Your dreams or not a dream; its real reality?" Mona said in a confused tone.
Jeremy shrugged his shoulders as he took a pancake off the plate and stuffed it in his mouth.
"Well, if this is a dream, I'm gonna eat all the carbs that I can," Jeremy said.
After breakfast Mona and Jeremy got up from the table. "What about our working gear?" Jeremy said. All of a sudden they ended up on the other side of the island in their working boots and hat, pants, and shirt.
Mona and Jeremy were looking at what they were wearing and the location. "How did we end up here so fast?" Mona said.
"MAGIC," Jeremy said.
Mona noticed the birds sitting on the tree branches waiting for food. There were big bags of bread crumbs.
Mona and Jeremy opened the bags, starting their duties of feeding the birds.
The 100 birds flew near them as they all ate the bread crumbs on the ground, in one big group.
"AWWW.. They're so adorable!" Mona Said.
Jeremy looked at Mona.
"Yes, I love birds and dogs." "So tell me." "Do you have kids?" Jeremy said.
"Oh, no..not me." "I do have a dog." "OH NO.. MY DOG IS LEFT ALONE AT HOME." "I need to get out of this dream." "OR.. Whatever this is. I feel trapped. I mean, it's beautiful here, but this isn't real reality," Mona said as she kept going on and on.
Jeremy interrupted trying to calm her down. He puts his hand gently on her face. "I know. I know. But live this to the fullest."
"There's always a sign and meaning of a dream." "They mean something."
"Live In the moment, like an escaped."
Mona smiled as she said, "You're so right."
"Do you think that we're gonna remember this dream?"
"Yes, 'cause we're wide awake and we understand what is going on right now," Jeremy said.
"HUH, I don't," Mona said.
Mona gets up fast, walking away.
"Wait.. where are you going?"
"To find help to get back to Nashville."
"I have no idea what time it is."
Jeremy walks behind Mona, when all of a sudden, they fall down a tall hill unexpectedly.
They both screamed.
As they hit the ground, they noticed a beautiful waterfall and a tall unicorn standing by the waterfall.
The unicorn hands them a note.
The note said.
I need you both to continue to save this island.
It's time for you both to pick up these logs around this location and stack them near the tree in one pile.
Then after the logs are all done.
Take the magic stick from the unicorn's head to clear the poison from the ground, and then nature will bloom and become alive again.
Mona and Jeremy looked at each other in shock.
After they were done getting the logs moved, they then went to the unicorn. The unicorn bent down as they took the stick off the unicorn's head gently.
Jeremy had it in his hand.
"OK.. here we go."
Jeremy and Mona held the stick together, pointing at the ground.
The ground turned different colors. Mona and Jeremy couldn't believe it.
"This feels like we're in some kind of movie, like an adventure.
The ground stopped turning colors, as the trees grew so tall. The flowers bloomed all around the ground.
Mona and Jeremy looked around in shock.
The waterfall glittered so brightly. The island had more life to it.
Mona and Jeremy put the stick back on the unicorn's head gently.
As they both try walking away; the unicorn uses its head and lifts them both, putting them on its back.
Mona and Jeremy were frightened as they held on tight to the unicorn-like being on a horse.
The unicorn wings spread.
They were far in the sky above the island.
Jeremy and Mona were so In shock.
The unicorn took them all around the island in the sky.
Then landed in front of their cabin.
Jeremy nodded at the unicorn. Mona petted the unicorn. "Thank you so much," they both said.
The unicorn flew away as it disappeared into the sky.
"Wait!!" "It disappeared," Mona said.
"Well, of course, it's a dream," Jeremy said.
"Or maybe not," Mona said.
Mona and Jeremy looked at each other.
They then walked into their cabin.
"What's for dinner?" "More carbs?"
Jeremy says as he laughs.
For a few days more on this island, Jeremy and Mona had more assignments.
They saved the bees, helping them get honey.
They also helped train certain species. They help the parrots have the freedom to fly around.
They built more cabins.
Grew more plants and flowers.
In the end, the island was completed.
They fulfilled their duties.
A few days later, that evening, Mona and Jeremy were dressed up. Jeremy was in a suit. Mona was in a beautiful pink ballroom gown.
They both sat at the dinner table.
There was wine and bowls of salad. Also mashed potatoes steak, and rolls.
Mona looked Jeremy in the eyes, and they both smiled.
"This has been a dream," Mona said.
"What happens if it's not a dream?" Jeremy said.
"Well.. don't you miss your family and friends?" "Your dog?" Mona said.
"Yes.. but I'm enjoying this world." "It's not real reality but my goodness, we flew on a unicorn," Jeremy said.
"We also did magic and were able to grow trees and plants by pointing the unicorn stick at the ground," Mona said.
"Well, look at it this way, if this was a dream, we wouldn't known that, right?" Jeremy said.
"Well until we wake up, that's when we will know," Mona said.
"Maybe it's not a dream." "It's been five days now," Jeremy said.
"That's a long dream," Mona said.
Can I ask you something?" Jeremy said as he held Mona's hands at the table.
"Are u married?"
"No." "Are you?" Mona said.
"No, I'm single also," Jeremy said.
"This has been nice." "I don't wanna say goodbye."
"Mona I'm falling in love with you."
Mona looked at Jeremy.
"I feel the same way too." "I don't want this dream to end."
"What happens if you're not a real human but made up for this dream?"
Jeremy looked at Mona.
"Well I guess we're both made up," Jeremy said.
All of a sudden; slow violin music came on.
"This is beautiful." "May I have this dance?"
Jeremy said.
Mona and Jeremy stared at each other.
"So is this the end of the movie?"
"The end of the dream?"
Mona said.
"Just live in the moment." "Take my hand and lay your head on my shoulder,
Feeling the music," Jeremy said.
They both held each other tight.
Slow dancing as both of their eyes closed.
All of a sudden everything around them vanished.
Everything turned pitched black.
They didn't noticed cause their eyes was closed.
A loud alarmed clock went off that early morning.
Jeremy woke up fast. Realizing it was a dream.
Jeremy laid back down putting the pillow over his face.
Feeling disappointed. Wondering if Mona really existed.
Mona woke up fast in Nashville at her home. Feeling confused.
She then laid back down, thinking about Jeremy from the dream.
Wondering if he really existed.
