Once upon a time, there was a living forest which was full of greenery surrounded by Oak trees and Maple trees throughout the area. The forest's floor was enclosed with a wondrous meadow. The sky was as blue as the Pacific Ocean, and the lake was as immaculate as the holy Ganga.
“Look at the sky!” said an old Oak tree; “Today the sky is looking so beautiful”. “Indeed, today is a special day for sure that's why she is scintillating so brightly,” said the Maple tree, “something auspicious is going to occur.” “I'm sure you are talking about Rain,” said the glistening Sun in sorrow, “but she will cover me by calling her cousin who is Cloud, so I'm a little bit gloomy”. “Oo! I can sense the smell of positivity,” mumbled Air. “I have not noticed that everybody is quite happy today,” said Lake. “Yes, today everyone is quite happy except me,” said the Sun. “Are you not feeling hot? I'm sweating. Today is too hot”. “Wait! what did you say just now?” questioned Lake. “Opps! I actually forgot that I make others sweat, but I never sweat, haha!”. Suddenly, some dark clouds approached the forest. “Today, I shall rejuvenate the forest's beauty with my tiny droplets,” said Rain. And then she started to drop. “Alas! I can't see any of you, said the Sun in disappointment, “I hope she doesn't extirpate the forest by summoning her brother Hail”. “Oh! After a long time, I'm taking a shower,” said the Maple tree. Everybody was enjoying themselves except the Sun. “I am feeling very monotonous,” murmured Rain to herself; “Let me call my cousin Wind”. So Rain invited Wind for a visit. He came so rapidly that no one was able to notice him, and then he started to blow in the entire forest. “I am here again to please you all,” said Wind in a very loud voice, “I know everybody missed me a lot”. “Not again!” said the old Oak tree. “I should summon my cousin Hail,” said Wind to Rain; “He will also enjoy with us”. “Good idea!”, said Rain, “I actually forgot about him”. So Wind summoned Hail to visit the forest. “You all are enjoying without me, very bad,” said Hail to everyone. And then he fell down in the forest.
Insects flew too fast escaping from Hail, and the snakes went to their holes. “You have spoiled the whole moment,” said the old Oak tree to Wind out of anger. “For you, all of my leaves have fallen on the ground”. “For you, many fish are deceasing,” said Lake to Hail in infuriation; “Now, the aquatic life is in danger”. And everybody started to blame Hail and Wind for the wrong time visit. “We apologize to everyone,” said Hail in a mischievous tone, “we are going for now, but we shall be back soon”. “No need to come here again!” said Grass, “you two have already eradicated the forest's beauty”. “Right little grass!” said the Maple tree in pain. “Hail has broken my little twigs, and Wind has shed most of my leaves on the ground ”. “They have also devastated the whole meadow,” said a lily in a sad tone, “All of my friends have deceased. Hail and Wind have slaughtered all of them. I'm the only flower who is alive at present”. “I can't see you all, for the dark clouds are blocking my eyes,” said the Sun. Grass became melancholic, the Maple tree was weeping in pain, the old Oak tree was trying to comfort others, but he was out of words. The only flower lily who survived in the calamity was missing her friends, and Lake was silent all by depression. There was pin-drop silence throughout the forest. Everybody was engulfed by sorrow.
Suddenly, a nightingale came into the forest out of nowhere and sat on a branch of the Maple tree and started to sing a beautiful song with her soothing voice. She pleased everybody present in the forest with her melodious voice. “Oh! What a marvellous tone!” remarked the old Oak tree. “Indeed, the tone is so resplendent,” commented the Maple tree; “She is healing me from the pain caused by Wind and Hail to me with her magical voice”. “She is reviving the fish!” said Lake out of joy. Unexpectedly, Rain halted pouring as she was feeling very sorry for everyone, and curiously the dark clouds abandoned the sky. “Now, every one of you is visible,” said the Sun in a happy voice, “I must say the auspicious moment we were waiting for wasn't Rain, but it is the arrival of the nightingale. I couldn't see you all, but I was able to listen to you all”. The old Oak tree said in a formal tone; “We don't know her, but due to her greatness, I herald her as a distinguished stranger”. “Sure! I endorse the title,” said the nightingale. Everybody acknowledged it by acclaiming his decision. She finished the song, and then she flew away fluttering her wings in the sky.
