Once in the city of misr lived a man named mahroof. He had a beautiful wife called jameela. Who He loved very much. He loved her very dearly. That he was willing to fulfil all her wishes.
Jameela was very happy and felt proud to a husband like a mahroof. She considered herself to be one of the luckiest woman as her husband took very much care of her.
One day mahroof asked his wife, ''my dear, is there anything else you want me to do for you? She said; I have everything that I want. There is nothing that you haven't give me! Mahroof said there must be some hidden wish that you have. Let me know I will fulfil it! Jameela said' ''I do have a secret wish. But it is highly impossible for you to fulfil it! If you promise me that you can do it for me, then I will tell you about it. Mahroof said, "My dear wife! You know very well that nothing in this world is more important to me then you! Just go ahead and tell me, I promise to fulfil desire. She said; I wish that you get three apples for me. I know it is not the season now but this is what I want". Mahroof said; is this all you wish? Just wait and see, I will get those apples for you.
He knew that it was difficult task but he never want to deny anything that his wife wanted. He went from place to place in search of apple but he did not success at last he found three apple and happily brought to his wife
Jameela was thrilled to see the apple. She said' you have indeed proven how much you love me and respect my wishes! She kept the apples safely in a bowl and said that: "I will eat these apples after I finish my prayers". Saying this' she left the apples and went for her prayers.
Mahroof had a naughty son. When he saw the apples he was very happy and thought "hai apples' let me take this to my friends. I will show it to them". So the little boy took the apples and run away. On the way, a stranger saw the little boy carrying apples in his hands and thought, apples at this time if I can get those apples, I can sell in the market and I will get a good price for it'' so the stranger snatched the apples from the boy's boy' s hand. The boy started crying but the stranger ran away. He then sold the apples in the market.
Mahroof went to the market to buy vegetables. There he saw a man selling the three apples which he had got for his wife. He was furious to see this. He thought,'' I took so much pain to get these apples for her and how dare she give it away to this stranger'' so with boiling anger, he went home. On seeing his wife he got very angry and said, you have made me into a fool. I have put so much of effort to bring those apples for you, give them away to a stranger'' before his wife could speak, he took out a knife to attack her. Just then his little son came running and said, ''father there is a man who took away the three apples from me the other day and today he has taken my toys''
When mahroof heard this, he threw down his knife. He regretted for suspecting his wife. He said; my dear I am really very sorry for mistaking you! I really love you a lot. His wife to love him dearly so she forgave him and both of them lived happily after it.
