Hi readers, I am narrating this story which will be full of love and adventure but at the same time will give a life learning experience. We are a joint family which comprises of my parents, my sister, my uncle, aunt and their children. Two to three family friends who lived in other cities also came to visit us. We were overjoyed when they came over to our place. We had a big house with a garden and swimming pool. All of us decided to lit a bonfire and sat there enjoying, eating etc. Suddenly, one of our family friend suggested that since it was a long weekend, all of us should plan a trip to some nearby hill station. Initially, my parents were slightly reluctant but finally they agreed and it was decided that we will start the very next morning. What happened next morning was that an important work cropped up that could not be postponed which disappointed us but luckily in a few hours by late afternoon that work was completed so it was suggested by my uncle that we can start off immediately to our destination. We had hired two vehicles with drivers who could take us to our destination. The journey began and we all were busy talking, laughing, listening to music. Since it was growing dark, our drivers advised us that we should stay somewhere nearby and can proceed with the journey the very next morning. Since we had already begun our climb and driving in the hills at night could be risky, we all were in search for a decent hotel where we could stay for the night. After about 10 minutes, we saw a property which said rooms and food facility available. When we entered the property, we enquired from the caretaker and the guard who met us at the entrance. We were so captivated by the view of the property as that place gave us the feeling as if we should stay there forever. We decided to extend our stay at this place for at least a day or two. The property consisted of a swimming pool, golf course, some adventure rides and different kinds of fruit trees. The place had everything that could make a person stay fun filled and relaxing.

Behind that place was a river flowing and across that river was a jungle. That jungle was accessible only by the cable car. We were advised that we can do whatever we want but do not attempt to go to the jungle alone. Our parents also warned us regarding this. But we

being youngsters had something else in mind. On the next night when everyone was asleep, me, my sister, my cousins (Uncle and aunt's children) and two children who were family friends decided to go across and explore the jungle. We all sat in the cable car and crossed the river thus entering the forest. We were roaming in the forest here and there with our torch lights on. After sometime, we felt that someone or something was following us. In other words, we felt some presence which gave us a negative feeling. Inspite of this, we thought that this was just an illusion and decided to spend the night in the forest and ensure that we reach our rooms before early morning. Little did we know that our decision of staying here for the night would put us in trouble. Around 3 AM in the morning, my cousin started feeling uneasy and started hallucinating as if someone was going to attack him. Even the remaining of us felt that something was not right. Without wasting any time, we decided to go back to the property where we were staying. The cable car in which we came was not working and we did not know what to do. We all panicked and felt that we might not make it back alive but luckily our parents had also woken up and were looking for us already. Somehow they had in their minds that the children might have attempted to go into the forest. They were coming from the river via boat which was used in case of emergency along with the guards and few other people from nearby. We literally hugged our parents and apologized for our mistake. The local people who were there told us many people who attempted to go into this forest never returned nor any trace of them was ever found. We thanked everyone there for their help. We decided to end our trip there itself. Apart from this incident, this trip was quite a memorable one. One thing we learnt from this trip was that never take unnecessary risk in life at least not at the cost of your life.
