Your safety should always be your top priority. Unfortunately, some workplaces can feel like daycare for adults who take their frustrations out on others. It doesn’t make you weak to leave an unsafe environment. Women should not have to sacrifice their safety to make a living.

Claiming Adivasi Identity as Everyday Resistance

Claiming Adivasi Identity as Everyday Resistance

A yearning for wanting to be a part of a dominant community, especially among people who live in towns and cities, where the lifestyle and culture is so different from our community, has influenced us in having to alter our own lifestyle, which further takes us away from our roots. But it is so important to not do that, always remember and acknowledge our identity, the culture we belong to, the people that shaped our beliefs. This article shows how even more important it is to do that.

It's sad how so many women have to go through this daily. And even more sad to know that so many of them have to compromise to just have a living of their own. This needs to change, people need to be more compassionate and understanding towards this issue. This I feel is something this woman did out of standards that she has, and is not willing to compromise on that. We need more people like her, and raise awareness on things that should be done and normalised. Our way of thinking needs change.
