The Marula Tree

The Marula Tree follows Kao and Maya from a chance meeting during a chaotic university election to the life they slowly build together. What begins with a campaign poster, a roll of tape, and afternoons beneath an old Marula tree grows into love, marriage, careers, and a family with their bright, curious daughter, Sia. But as life gets fuller, the two people who once had endless time for each other begin to find themselves living in the same home while carrying increasingly separate worlds. Years of shared history, quiet memories, laughter, ambition, and everything they have built together are put to the test. And beneath it all remains the Marula tree, holding the memory of where their story began.
