The stall wasn’t anything special—just a wooden cart, a kettle that had seen better days, and the gentle aroma of freshly brewed chai drifting into the cool air.

But the man behind it, Raghav, made it feel different.

He greeted everyone the same way—with a warm smile and a simple, “Good morning, today will be a good day.”

Most people smiled back. Some nodded. A few ignored him completely.

Still, Raghav said it every single day.

Across the street stood a young man named Neel, who had recently moved to the city. New job, new life, and a quiet pressure he didn’t talk about with anyone.

One morning, after a particularly difficult night, Neel stopped at the stall.

“One chai,” he said softly.

Raghav handed him a steaming cup. “Good morning. Today will be a good day.”

Neel gave a tired half-smile. “You say that to everyone.”

Raghav chuckled. “Because everyone deserves to hear it.”

Neel took a sip. The warmth spread through him, steady and comforting.

“Even when it’s not true?” he asked.

Raghav looked at him for a moment, then said, “Sometimes the day changes after you believe it can.”

Neel didn’t reply, but the words stayed with him.

Days turned into weeks, and Neel found himself returning every morning. At first, it was just for the chai. Then it became something more—a quiet pause before the rush of the day.

He began noticing things.

A delivery driver who always looked rushed started slowing down for a quick cup. An elderly woman began bringing homemade biscuits to share. Two strangers who once stood in silence started chatting like old friends.

And every single morning, Raghav stood there, repeating the same line—

One morning, Neel arrived earlier than usual.

The stall was closed.

A small note hung from the cart:

“Back in a few days.”

For the first time, the street felt a little emptier.

The next morning, Neel did something unexpected.

He borrowed a kettle from his landlord, bought tea leaves, and stood at the same corner.

He wasn’t sure what he was doing.

But when the first passerby approached, he poured a cup and said, slightly unsure—

The man smiled.
