Finding Myself

This is a heartfelt, reassuring reflection on healing and self-forgiveness. I especially liked the way the narrator revisits different versions of herself—the little girl, the guarded teenager, and the woman who confused self-sacrifice with love—without condemning any of them. The message is familiar, but it feels sincere rather than forced, and the closing image of the lost pieces waiting to be collected gives the piece a gentle sense of hope. I would have liked a few more concrete memories or details to make the journey feel more distinctly this narrator’s, since some of the language remains broadly inspirational. Still, the emotional progression from seeking validation to choosing oneself is clear and affecting.

Pieces of Me

This feels candid and emotionally direct, especially in the way the relationship shifts from rugby-day excitement to something neither of them can safely live inside anymore. The small T-Rex detail is startlingly vivid, and the birthday scene makes the loss of respect feel painfully ordinary and real. I also liked that the narrator doesn’t turn Chubby into a simple villain: she owns her own mistakes while still being clear about what she endured. The final movement toward choosing herself, and recognising what she gave her sons, lands with real strength.

The Golden Boy and Blue

This feels like a quiet heartbreak that keeps deepening. The contrast between the Golden Boy’s silence and Blue’s small acts of safety is especially effective, and the final shift from “waiting” to “hope” lands beautifully. Sad, tender, and emotionally clear without overexplaining.

I loved your story and the way you stayed true to yourself. I wish you many more adventures along the way.
