The Legend of The Marked Ones

Centuries ago, the sky tore open and the Verdant Rift was born—a paradise of magic, riches, and power. But envy turned wonder into war, and the Rift was sealed by a curse. Only the descendants of the gifted—those marked by the Rift—can uncover its truth. Josh has always believed the legends. Labeled “myth boy” by peers and professors, he’s spent years chasing whispers, decoding ancient texts, and searching for the fracture that changed the world. Now a volcanologist, his obsession leads him to Techcity—a place untouched by lava, but pulsing with secrets. There, he meets Liza. Brilliant, kind, and marked by the Seal, she’s everything Josh never expected. Their connection is instant, forbidden, and dangerous. When their love breaks the city’s sacred law, they’re hunted by warriors and forced into the legendary Forbidden Forest—a place no one enters and lives to tell. But the forest awakens something ancient. Symbols glow. Marks evolve. And a door appears—leading them into a land untouched by time. A place that feels like the Verdant Rift itself. Now, Josh and Liza must face the truth behind the sky’s wound, the legacy of the marked, and a destiny that could fracture the world once more.
