At a young age he was diagnosed with adhd Growing up with ADHD meant Jake’s brain was a high-speed engine with no brakes. He was loud, he was fast, and he was constantly "too much." In a different world, that energy might have been channeled into sports or art. In his father’s world, it was a provoking opportunity

The words were always the pre-loads to the storm. Jake’s father, a man whose own frustrations manifested as iron-fisted control, had no patience for his son who lost his shoes as he grew , forgot his homework, or tapped his pencil against the school table. When Jake’s ADHD caused a lapse in focus, his father saw it as defiance. And for defiance, there was a heavy price he payed for just trying to be himself.

The abuse started small—a rough shove, a stinging slaps to even belts and ropes to even beaten black and blue to the point jake couldnt open his eyes he was tied up & held for days while his farther acted like he was missing turning a blind eye to the situation but if Jake even made a noise he was beaten , he also one night sexual assaulted jake for the way he was behaving —but as Jake grew, so did the violence jake was made to fight grown men to prove to his farther he was a man so that's what he did , but that didn't end well as he started getting arrested outside and inside school for his violence a road he always thought was right learned to read the tightening of his father’s jaw like a weather vane signaling a hurricane. The trauma of the household only made Jake’s ADHD symptoms worse; his hyper-vigilance looked like distractibility, and his constant "fidgeting" was actually his nervous system stuck in a permanent state of fight mode!.

By the time Jake reached his teens, the internal pressure began to whistle.and the The violence he experienced at home started to leak out of him at home and school When a teacher corrected him or teased him, Jake didn’t just get annoyed—he saw red. His brain, conditioned by his father to expect an attack, reacted with a pre-meditated strikes towards teachers and other students causing them serious harm where the police had to be involved and pictures where taken!

One afternoon, the dam holding all the pressure finally broke. A boy that jake new well in the corridor of school pushed Jake, a playful shove that anyone else would have laughed off. But to Jake, it felt like his father’s hand were on him and triggered him and everything flashed he switched yet again causing harm that drew blood.

The "outbreak" was terrifying Jake was attacking everybody he came across & landed him self in the police station nearly every week.mid teens Jake was caught with weapons and was randomly stop searched in his car where objects where found he was arrested again for possession of an offensive weapon folling that he was released with no further action but the following week he attacked again, 2017 Jake was in a arcade and seen a man misbehaving against a woman jake lashed out yet again causing serious harm the man who was 10years older than jake snapped back making things worse jake immediately threw a head butt splitting the mans face from bridge of nose to the middle of his head about 4cm past his hair line the man covered in blood fell knocked out towards jake so jake reacted again and hit the man a further 28 times to the face causing him to be in a coma and scared for life with an injury 13cm long.

He was then posted on crime watch and local tv news / papers as a wanted and highly dangerous this violence seemed to haunt every corner of his life. Distracting him from society it took five weeks to find him, his mum handed him in to the police he was charged with GBH WOUNDING WITH INTENT! fined four thousand pounds ordered a probation of 2 years and was put into youth offenders every week for monitoring he was slammed with anger management courses and health check to support him..

few years later Jake attacked a close mate stabbing him with a chizzle and assaulting him for mocking his struggles when his nan passed he tried to calm Jake didn't like this conflict so attacked. He was then arrested again but also let go with no further action!

Jake has always struggled with violence and being involved with the law he was a young wild individual that was becoming hard to controll. He would attend boxing to controll his anger but become unreadable with his actions to the point no one would trust him and his brain function around them unpredictable most would say.

He realized then that he was fighting two wars: one against the father who broke his spirit,& ruined him as a young man and one against the version of himself that was learning to fight back the only way he’d ever been taught.

The path forward felt impossible, but as he sat in the silence, Jake made a quiet vow. He would find a way to unlearn the violence. He would find a way to be fast and loud and "too much" without being harmful. He would be the man his father never was—the one who could feel the storm inside and choose not to let it break the world.

When she passed in the summer of 2021, she took "the look" with her. Since then, Jake had been wandering the family home like a tourist who didn't speak the language. His parents were so consumed by the logistics of grief and the mounting pressures of a post-pandemic world that they forgot Jake had lost his primary witness.l and bestfriend They saw his quietness and told him to lighten up" when in reality, it was a slow-motion collapse that crumbled
