The Doom of Erythros

The Doom of Erythros tells the story of Kael, a desperate villager who ventures into a cursed labyrinth to retrieve the Tear of Erythros, a crystal capable of saving his plague-stricken home. The Doom, once a fortress of a sorcerer destroyed by his failed quest for immortality, is now a deadly, ever-shifting maze. Kael navigates its dangers, overcoming traps, shifting walls, and the spectral guardian of the Tear. Confronted by the guardian, Kael declares his willingness to sacrifice himself for his people. The guardian allows him to leave but warns that the Tear’s power demands balance—healing one place while harming another. Kael uses the Tear to save his village, only to see the surrounding lands wither in exchange. Recognizing the cost of power, Kael vows to protect the Tear and prevent its misuse, understanding that every victory carries a price.
