THE ROAD HOME

This poem is about discovery and identity. The speaker here tries to find his way back home where nature is still at peace with it inhabitants. Though the path is difficult but despite his breakdowns he learns to overcome these obstacles of discovery through the spirit of belonging which he carries with him. The speaker explores the theme of identity and sees civilization as a threat to his identity which can be saved if he does away with the luxury of modernity and embark on this path of nativity where he sees himself as both a saviour and a storyteller whose stories about urban life shall deliver his kindreds from the lucidity of civilization which is rather a hazard to mortality.
