The Strength of the Wind, The Resilience of the Heart

This is a powerful and moving personal story about the resilience of the human spirit in the face of devastating loss. The story follows Ann (myself) and her family as they endure the wrath of Typhoon Yolanda (also known as Haiyan). The descriptive language vividly portrays the storm's power and the terror it inflicts. We see our home, our life, literally ripped apart around us. The story ends on a note of resilience.
