I really enjoyed the humor and storytelling style in this memoir. The narrator’s observations are sharp and often hilarious, especially the descriptions of his parents and the absurd situations he finds himself in. The scenes with his mother and the pecking chickens were particularly funny, and the ending with the forged diploma was a great twist. A lively and entertaining story with a very distinctive voice.
