The Wolf and the Buck

"The Wolf and the Buck" is the story of a clever wolf, through a clever application of terror and patience, that proves smarter than an overpowering, swift buck. Instead of relying on mere physical might, the wolf creates an illusion of a greater danger to accelerate the exhaustion of the buck in his futile attempts to flee. Finally, the buck's own fear precipitates his downfall-teaching the lesson that often, in our desire to flee danger, we are driven into it.
