Anna couldn't believe that she was actually here. She was at one of the biggest parties in the state, one that is held by hot and sexy billionaire Travis Dickerson. She looked around, realizing that she was with a whole bunch of people that she had never seen before, and they were all looking at her funny. Then again, the person that was normally with her, her best friend Brittany, wasn't with her at this point because she was off flirting with some dude that she met, leaving Anna alone. But she looked over at Travis, a rush of feeling starting to envelope through her.
She wanted him. She craved him more than anything else. She wanted to feel him, to touch him, but probably won't be able to because she was just a normal girl. She only got in because her best friend was friends with benefits with some dude that she met a while back, and he invited them here. But Brittany was more interested in getting in the sack with some schmuck than hanging around her best friend.
"Of course," Anna said out loud. Of course this was going to happen. She was the type of person that was always stuck with the bad end of the stick, and she never knew what to do about it. She looked around, and suddenly, she heard a voice behind her.
"You look new," the voice said.
She turned around. She looked at the man. It was Travis, and he was here in the flesh. With long blonde hair, gorgeous blue eyes and a smile that could make anyone go crazy, he was the epitome of sexy, and that made Anna blush.
"I guess," she said.
"Well, have you heard about my game that I'm having? It's a raffle, and the winner gets to have me. I was thinking you might be interested in that sort of thing, since you are all alone," he cooed.
That voice was so familiar. She didn't know why, but despite the fact that Travis was a hot billionaire, she was definitely feeling the vibe that he was someone else altogether. That made her interested, and it made Anna want to know more about him.
"Well I guess I'll play," she said.
"Good. You should go up and get a raffle ticket. The benefits go to a local children's hospital that I visit on occasion, and I think you have a strong chance of winning. I know that it is a contest, and I know that some girls will probably end up getting more tickets because they want to have a chance with me, but I think you'll do fine. Besides, it doesn't have to be tonight. I would take you out on an all-expenses paid trip to wherever you want. I will wine and dine with you and treat you right, and I hope that I pick the right person to win this," he cooed.
Anna thought about this. A date with this man. This was unlike anything she had ever seen before, and it felt good in a sense. Strange, but good. She wondered how in the world she got so damn lucky, but then again, stranger things have happened.
"Well I will try. I mean, I don't really know what this whole contest is about, but I think it sounds interesting. I would love to find out more about it," she said. She was trying to keep her cool because he was talking to her, but at the same time, she thought that it was nice to have someone who cared about her so much.
"Well I think it would be great. Anyways, I have to entertain guests. Lovely. I'll be seeing you around though hopefully," he replied.
"Yeah. I'll see you around," she replied.
The two of them walked away, and Anna wondered what was going on with her. She normally was the type who wasn't one to go gaga over a dude, but this man was a total exception. He was perfect in a strange sense, and that's what she liked the most about him. There was something arousing and enticing about all of this, and she wondered what she was going to do.
After a little bit, she headed over to where he told her to go. It was a small area where a couple of girls were hanging out. Anna blushed, and she went over to the desk where a young and perky blonde was. She took a deep breath, looking at the woman with a smile.
"I'm here to get a raffle ticket. I know that there is some sort of contest going on, and I wanted to participate in it," she told her.
The woman looked Anna over, shocked that such a frumpy and strange woman would be so interested in this sort of thing. But she smiled, extending a card to her and then looking at her with a gaze.
"Well it will be a dollar. I was wondering if you could afford more though," she said with a sneer.
The problem was, Anna was a poor college student who worked hard at her day job and slaved away in order to make her month's rent. She didn't have the time or the ability to actually do this sort of thing, and even just having a little bit of money poured into this wasn't what she was expecting. She shook her head.
"I don't. Sorry," she replied.
"Well good luck with winning. I know that the other girls who have gotten tickets have spent a lot more. But I guess maybe you have a chance," she told the other in almost a snarky manner.
She blushed, realizing that this woman was trying to intimidate her. She wasn't going to let that happen.
"Well I don't have the time or the energy to spend my money on silly things like this. I'm sorry, but that's not my style," she told the blonde.
"Whatever. Just get your ticket, put your name on there, and get out of my face," she spat.
She did so, and Anna rolled her eyes. God, some of these women who were associating with him were such bitches. Were they catty because she was around him? Or was it something else.
"I guess I'll be seeing you around," Anna said to her.
"Probably in your dreams, but okay," the woman said back.
She was such a bully, but Anna wasn't going to let this get to her. She sat around, drinking a bit of wine and watching the debauchery. She noticed that most of these people weren't what she was expecting. She thought that they were going to be your standard normal assholes, but these people were all over each other, and it was starting to get gross. A flush started to form on Anna's face. She wanted something like that, but she wanted it with the right guy. She didn't want to throw herself to just about anyone.
Then, time passed and the raffle was about to start. It was strange that he was giving this away as a mere contest, but apparently it worked. There were hordes of girls who were just standing around practically clamoring for him, and it made her wonder. How the hell did she get so many girls as competition? This was getting out of hand, but it did make her wonder.
After a bit of time, he appeared on stage, along with the blonde. The blonde wasn't drawing thankfully, but she felt like she had such an honor to be around this guy for whatever fucking reason. Anna rolled her eyes, this was getting gross.
"All right everyone, I have an announcement to make. We're about to choose the winner of this year's charity raffle. We've had over 500 dollars in participants this year, and that will all be going to the local children's hospital to help them. Thank you to everyone who donated!" she cackled.
The crowd was going wild, and all of the girls were squawking like hyenas, but she just sat there. Anna just wanted to know who the damn winner was more than anything.
"And the winner of this year's raffle is…" the blond stated.
Travis pulled out the name, and when the blonde saw it, she paled. She was about to pick another one, but he stopped her, practically yanking it out of her hand and speaking.
"Anna Clarkson!" the voice boomed.
The crowd was in shock, with some girls glowering and the others crying. Geez, was it really that big of a deal? Maybe it was because he was some sort of hotshot famous billionaire, but even Anna didn't feel this way about a dude. But her name was called, and within moments, she walked on over to it, looking at him with a glance.
"Hello there," she said.
"I told you that you would win. Congrats sweetie. So you're Anna. I was wondering who you were. You have a very pretty face, and I wanted to get to know you better, I was just a bit nervous about asking you about that sort of thing," he explained.
She nodded. "Well here I am now," she replied.
"And I'm glad you are here. Come on my dear, let's get this whole thing planned out. I was thinking maybe we could go to a fancy restaurant, or if that's not your style, maybe we can go on a boating trip together," he admitted.
Anna looked at him, pausing to think about how he was going to react to her being a normal girl instead of one that goes crazy over him.
"How about we just go to dinner? Without all the crazy things. I would rather be spoiled by your personality, not by your money," she admitted.
There was a pause, and for a moment he didn't know what to say. Anna smiled, but he agreed with those demands.
"I never thought that I would meet someone with the same opinions as me on this sort of thing. Of course my dear, we can do that. Why don't we go to the marina?" he asked.
She nodded. "That would be great. What day though?" she asked.
"How about Saturday?" he said.
She smiled, nodding in approval.
"Let's do that then," she replied with a smile.
The two of them set up the date, and despite all of the bitchy looks that Anna was getting, she was happy with the outcome. She couldn't wait for whatever was about to come next, and she was definitely excited for the future. Life wasn't going to get in the way, for she knew that this was the right thing. Plus, the fact that he was definitely interested in something more than just a frivolous date made her happy, because maybe, just maybe this billionaire wasn't so bad, and she would be happy to be with him.
